Win a copy of the TT for Abs DVDs
Today is your chance to win one of 3 FREE copies of my new TT For Abs DVDs that will be ON SALE next week on Tuesday, September 7th.
But first, let me tell you WHY I’ve worked so hard to give you the DVDs…
In your responses to my surveys last year, you said you wanted:
1) Follow along workout DVDs you can use at home
2) More ab exercises
3) More short workouts
So last winter, I spent 3 months filming 2-3 nights per week to create the new TT for Abs DVDs and bonus workouts (like the 15-Minute Express circuit and the Total Torso Training program).
Those DVDs will be ON SALE next week.
But today you have a chance to win one of 3 copies of the entire DVD package (that also includes my new Simple Nutrition DVD filmed at the old TT Headquarters).
All you need to do to enter to win is:
1) In the comments section below, please post your #1 question about getting a flat stomach and six pack abs OR how to lose belly fat.
2) You must also tell me why you need the TT for Abs DVDs.
NOTE: This isn’t about financial reasons, but about why the TT for Abs DVDs will finally help you reach your goals of getting a flat stomach or even a set of six-pack abs.
So just follow those 2 steps and I’ll announce the 3 winners on Tuesday, Sept 7th. You’ll also get a copy of my Simple Nutrition manual and DVD as part of the bonus package.
The blog contest ends at 7pm EST on Friday, Sept 3rd.
Good luck and I look forward to hearing from you.
To your success,
Craig Ballantyne, CSCS, MS
Creator, TT For Abs
PS – The contest closes at 7pm on Friday. No Exceptions.
So make sure to post your entry below.
I’ll read each and every entry and pick the winners on the weekend.

1- I never know if i have to do more reps or more heavy reps, and how much rest between series, 10, 20 sec o 1 min?, so i can maximaze the burn of my bally fat? i do interval training or not?.
2- I need the DVDs because they are my only chance i have to loose 25 lb of bally fat working out from my home, at the age at 28 i reach my best shape ever, and now at 37 i want to weight and look even better than at my 20’s, i have a child and a very bussy schedule. So this new DVDs maybe are my only chance to get in shape again. When i see some of your videos on youtube i always want more, but its kind of complicated to follow a rutine on youtube, this set of DVD’s are very promising.

Dear Craig,
I have worked out off and on for more than 20 years and while I don’t have a completely “worked out” body, I seem to have very toned legs and arms. I have even received compliments from my current and past personal trainers about the quality of my shoulders and chest. But after all of this money and time spent, I can’t seem to loose the fat that encases my stomach. I can see the hints of muscles under there, but no matter what kind of exercises I do, or what type of diet I’m on — or a combination of both — the fat will not leave. What am I doing wrong???!! Am I just destined to have toned arms and legs, but yet have a Buddha belly?!?!?!?
While I will be the first to say that yes, I want to LOOK good without a shirt on, but it is becoming increasingly necessary for me to lead a more pain-free life if I were to loose this fat. Why? I have three degenerated discs in my lumbar spine: between L1 & L2; L2 & L3; and L3 & L4. The fat around my gut just makes daily life that much more uncomfortable, so that’s what I am wanting this DVD package – so that I can look good, and have some sort of relief from what I am told is a genetic malady.
This is not meant to be a sob story, but I hope that my words above have convinced you that I am one of the three entrants that not only WANTS this DVD series, but NEEDS it as well.
2) I must also tell you why I need the TT for Abs DVDs:

Can you tell me if the side fat is the last to go? I seem to have alot less front stomach fat but more on the sides..almost disproportionate ratio.
As to why I would love to win the DVD…
I have a bet with my buddy to see who can get a 6 pack by summer. I am 18% BF right now. My diet is clean and I am losing a pound a week but feel this would be my secret edge. He always beats me in these type of bets…would love it if you could help an underdog ;o)
[Reply to this]
1. # 1 question about losing belly fat: how many times a week are we supposed to be doing intervals to speed up loss of belly fat- can you do it every day or would that hurt your knees
2. I need teh TT for abs because i’m really lost in how to eat and train to lose belly fat. i’m okay lean, but i would like to lower my body fat percentage and i’m unsure how to train.
[Reply to this]
1- My main question about getting a six pack is what specific exercises help and which ones hurt. I have been an athlete playing football and running track, yet never had a six pack. Now I’m older and have been losing the weight I put on and am getting more definition in my arms, shoulders and chest, but the spare tire is still there. I don’t get it.
2- I need the DVD’s because I read the health mags and your info as well, but I still can’t do the exercises correctly. I need a visually element to aid my exercise workouts. Also seeing it pushes me to work harder.
[Reply to this]
1) I’ve heard that you CAN do ab work everyday as you need to overtrain these muscles to lose belly fat; and then I’ve also heard that no, you must take a rest day inbetween as you would with any other muscle group. So….which is it?
2) I need this DVD because I’m convinced I don’t have abs. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them…although I’ve been assured they are there, hiding under the fat. So I’d love to see if I can lose enough belly fat and see if I DO have abs!!
[Reply to this]
I want to win this DVD because I want to be a master of my own body and excersise my abs the Right way. You won my trust by your expert advice and knowledge of excersise. Plus I want to look damn sexy on the beach this summer in hawaii!!!! chee hee!!
[Reply to this]
Dear Craig,
Ab training is becoming more and more confusing. I’d like to finally see my abs to be a good role model for people I train. Even I don’t have the six-pack I’d like to sport, so how can I expect others to listen to me ? I like to give and I’d use the knowledge to create greatness by helping other reaching their goals. But first, I have to reach the top shape with a decent abdominal developement. I’m sure this product contains quality info and would help me convince ppl that having a 6-pack is not at all impossible !
Thanks for reading,
PoD

1) In the comments section below, please post your #1 question about getting a flat stomach and six pack abs OR how to lose belly fat.
I am 5 foot 7 inches, and in February 2009 I weighed 207lbs. I was 31 years old but felt like an old man. I decided it was time for a change. I started gradually and began to quickly see results. I cut down on what I considered to be “bad” food. But most importantly I started going to the gym. I have a gym in my apartment building but never once step foot in it. So now its a year later and weigh 170lbs. And I’ve done it all on my own. No gimmick classes or fancy machines. Just me, a treadmill, and some weights. So here’s my question: what can i do get rid of that last layer of belly fat?!i can see some of my upper abs but have been struggling to see my lower half? i workout 3-5 times per week. In the last 8-weeks i’ve increase my weight training and have cut down on the cardio. but i feel like I’ll never break the “fat barrier”.
2) You must also tell me why you need the TT for Abs DVDs.
I need this DVD because i believe that i need some guidance. i’ve been doing it on my own for a year now but know that with your guidance i can break the barrier! i KNOW i have abs! and with your help hope to see them by summer.
thanks craig!

Well i have to admit to surfing youtube all the time for new ab exercises and after trying most of them i am still having a hard time getting some nice ab action.. i also know they are in there but am fed up looking up and finding ones that are not doing the job,, I am sure that yours are going to work. I am doing just fine with the arms and legs but those pesky abs just done want to come out and show themselves.
I also need help with the nutriton. i do try to eat healthy but really need a guide as to what should be eaten with what. i’m sure that is the key to getting those abs popping.. as well as feeding the rest of the muscles.
[Reply to this]
I need it because I have had two kids. My question is, what are the most intense exercises. I know that ins’t necessary, but I feel like my abs are never sore when I work out and once in a while I would like to feel like I am really working them. Sometimes my glutes are sore, sometimes my arms are sore, but I don’t seem to have any exercises that make my abs sore.
[Reply to this]
I’d absolutely Love to win the DVD ab set!! I am full of questions, but in response to abs:
My question is how do you address the women’s issue of returning to working out the abs
after having kids, not keeping fit regularly and the aging changes that occur in the body?
How is it best on the aging joints, tissues & muscles to adapt your inspirational and logical training on an older female body who wants to incorporate TT and abs workouts into daily life~for the rest of her life?
I just want to Thank You for the great inspiration your TT program and nutritional support have been to me so far, on my journey back to Fabulous! ~Adene~

I have had a hard time losing fat just above my c-section scar. What works there?
[Reply to this]
My number 1 question about how to lose belly fat is this…is it better to do overall workouts and let that fat in the entire body melt away, or is it better to focus on my belly and see how much I can lose there?
My reason for needing the DVDs, I am a 36 yo woman who is overweight (some say obese, I just say fat) and I have been following your TT workouts/Body transformation contest since Jan 1st. This is the last week I have of the TT Intermediate and next week I start the original TT
I need to work on the abdominal area as I have had 2 lower back surgeries in the past (both at L5/S1) and I know that as my abs get stronger, they will support my back more and more. I know they are getting stronger with the TT workouts I am already doing, but I feel that the Ab workouts will just help me take it to another level…and help me accomplish my goals of being stronger and healthier…and able to chase around the yard with my kids without my back killing me after 5 mins!
Thank you for this chance to win these!

Hi Craig,
Here are my #1 & #2 questions/comments for you:
#1 I’m a couple of years removed from brain tumor surgery; the tumor was hormone based and caused a huge weight gain (65 lbs, down from size 14 to size 4) which I have since lost now that the tumor is gone; the issue I have is I’m stuck on a “3-pak” or “4 pak” depending on how clean I’m eating. With a thyroid/hormonal issue in the past, can someone in my situation power through to get a true six pack? Is this a matter of even stronger clean eats + agressive training via TT ?
#2 My reason I feel I need TT is I feel I’m thisclose to achieving the goals I was striving for before the tumor and side affects (gain) that came with it; now on the eve of turning 40 (June) I’m looking to become an example of overcoming a health issue and getting the body I’ve worked for. I believe TT is the missing link in my tool box.
[Reply to this]
Hey Craig,
I’ve read multiple places that abs are supposed to be worked out everyday. It doesn’t seem to make sense to me though. My question is: Abs are another muscle group just like any other in your body, therefore shouldn’t we let them have ‘rest’ days like we let the larger muscle groups have? I would like the TT for Abs DVDs because as a college student we are exposed to many different methods of getting the ‘perfect’ 6-pack abs; but most of the information is bogus. It would be nice to have some sort of guideline to follow that I can actually trust to be factual. Plus, I mean it wouldn’t hurt next time i was out playing beach volleyball or at the pool to be able to sport a ripping set of abs.
[Reply to this]
Hi Craig, my question is: Should I be targeting my abs with exercises at all if I want to shrink my waist, or should I just stick to training the other parts of my body with weights so my abs get trained along with them? If I try to target my abs, am I just going to end up building up my obliques and upper/lower abs and defeating the purpose?
I’m in the Transformation contest and doing TT Fusion Fat Loss right now-I love it! And I have been working my abs in that program and your others, but this is a question that’s always in the back of my mind as I do exercises that primarily target my abs. I have lowered my body fat by 7% since I started back to working out seriously, but still have a long way to go before I’ll see any abs.
I need this program so that I can make sure I’m getting all the info I will need to get there. On a side note, thanks for your podcasts, which brought me back to reality about the diet changes I needed to make, and brought me to the transformation contest.

I’m a 46 y/o male vegetarian and have been trying to get a 6 pack abs for over the last 3 years .
I’ve tried everything firstly long distance running, yeah lost weight about 15 kgs but no muscle definition infact looked sickly ( = no abs).
I moved on to weights, lift heavy, eat lots 6 meals a day, weight started to go up and so did bodyfat, looked a bit bulky ( oh still no abs).
Then tried lots of cardio machines, would spend nearly 1.5 hr+ ( yep still no abs).
So finally tried interval cardio, some body weight excercise and metabolic type excercises and started to see a difference, I knew this type of training worked for me. But now I’ve plateaued.
All the above was listening to different trainers. And their information contradicated each other, confusing plus.
Following your facebook and tried some of your sample workouts I could see your system would work.
It ’s a proven method, scientifically backed up and you live and breathed the part so I could use this to drive through to final level.
The DVD will show me exactly what to do leaving no doubt or guess work on how to approach my final goal.

My question is….what is the best way to work your abs that will also help your back? I know that in order to have good back muscles, you need strong stomach muscles. I must be doing something wrong because when I work my abs, I seem to just make my lower back more sore.
Also…I’m beginning to think it’s impossible to have a flat stomach for women who are just entering menopause. The older I get, the thicker my waist gets. I turn 46 this year and no longer have that nice hour-glass shape I used to have! So frustrating….

Hi
I just read your question. I am PT in Australia who is also pregnancy at the moment so back exercises are my saving grace!
Have you tried any prone exercises (face down)? – like opposing leg and arm extensions on hands and knees to start with. Extend one foot out and the opposite hand , pull in your abs towards your spine and hold – aiming for 1-2 minutes then repeat opposite side.
It is also important to remember that overtraining your abs – at least the six pack abs without strengthening your back may affect your posture leading to you leaning forward slightly.
Good Luck

My question is:
With all the publicity about fat burning and abs workout all over around, how could we be sure that your method works? or there is more than one way to face these challenges and be successful ?
And………. I really want and need to workout, I am 68 y.o. and for five years have been a lazy and unproductive jerk.
Thank you

Hey Craig,
Thanks for all your efforts, enthusiasm, and advice. I’ve often found your training tips helpful and informative, and that is why I’m here. For my Abs question, I’ve got a simple one it would seem. In practice, it’s more difficult. I can find my way around a gym fine. I work-out well, and I work-out hard. The benefits are noticeable both physically and otherwise, but I can’t bring the whole package together. So, how can I work my Abs more effectively to join my upper body and my lower body into one well-coordinated unit? I can do Ab workouts till the cows come home. Reps and weight and focus are no problem, but that’s when i’m concentrating on just my Abs. I cannot seem to translate these ‘core’ exercises into the core of a physically fit body. It seems everything is an upper body movement, a mid-section movement, or a lower body movement. How do you get these parts to work together?
In addition, I could really use the DVDs as a boost. Over the past few months, I’ve had to leave my friends, my home, my job, my gym, and my trainer. I moved 4000 miles back to my hometown and lost not only a ton of momentum and inspiration, but also a lot of guidance. I’m back in the gym now and trying to re-create the great times and results I had last year, but I don’t have the the technical know-how, guidance, and solid foundation I had then. The will to get myself to the gym has never been a problem, but what to do when I get there is! Trying to do the same workouts I used to, with a significantly lower fitness level, is disheartening. Trying new techniques from someone who knows their s**t, is just the kind of jumpstart I could benefit from.
So, thanks for taking the time to review this and offer your skills. I’ve learned a lot from your blogs and video posts, and I’m sure I’ll continue to in the future.

1.) Getting rid of belly fat is very important for people who are prediabetic or who have hormonal imbalances. Would you recommend anything special for people with those conditions?
2.) I need the DVDs because I do not always have a chance to get to the gym and I love having a go-to workout for home. I am looking to get in the best shape of my life this year in order to get pregnant – I need them for before and after this happens!

My #1 question is … is it really impossible to get rid of that loose skin around your abs after having a baby (or three in my case)? I eat well and have lost all the baby weight. I am going to be 40 this summer and hate people telling me that there is no way to firm up your midsection enough to get rid of that skin problem. I have my “mom” friends waiting for me to prove them wrong (and join in if I can get them).
Your DVD’s will help me prove everyone wrong and be proud and confident and a good example for my kids. I have my own business and three kids to chase after you workout time is the time I look forward to and always has to be done in the house.
Even if I don’t win … please answer!

I would say that dropping below 10% body fat is a must to get 6 pack abs. I would say that I need TT Abs because I am a very skinny person who has 4% body fat. I have been told by one or two people that I have a six pack. I, on the other hand, don’t think so. If I do, it isn’t as defined as I want it to be. I have a feeling that TT Abs would help me shape my abs/obliques to my liking.

1.) In November 2008 I started out in a gym for the 1st time. I was 45. I weighed 93kg and most of it existed around my belly. I’m 180cm. I have trained 5 days a week on average since then. I got some PT and had some on going advice from a friend but 14 months on I cant move the last of the fat. I am down to 80kg and have the nutrition going well. No processed foods, no sugar, no alcohol and 2 coffees a week. I change my program regularly and have taken to the TT regime quite easily. But it just won’t go! What are your favourite exercises when loses those last few kgs?
2.) The TT for Abs DVD will provide real life timings to get the tempo needed to for the best results!

Ah! the question, well for me its how to loose the little love handles that just do not want to let go…..I have an excellent diet, six meals per day, workout 4 times per week incorporating high intensity training and whilst when I tense my mid section you can definately see 4 sets of abs it’s the side love handles that stop me having the excellent body I want at age 57.
I am sure that the DVD will show the little things or even big things that I may be missing on doing that after many years of training and nutrution I am not quite able to loose that last bit of stubbon ab/side fat that is so frustrating to me.

My question for getting a flat stomach, should I concentrate on burning fat first then working on my ab muscles or is there some way to do both at the same time…
I need the DVD’s because I will be 35 this year and I want to stop being that slightly overweight guy that keeps his shirt on when he goes to the beach. I want prove to myself that even at 35 I can have the body of a younger guy and be proud to go shirtless!

My question is…What exercises I can do after having 2 abdominal surgeries, both horizally and vertically to flatten and tighten my abs?
One of my friends told me about you and I have viewed your videos and think that you put more thought and information into your workouts. I am 52 years old and the exercises that I tried haven’t worked very well and my belly is getting away from me lol.
[Reply to this]
My question and my reason are actually one in the same. I have met several others over the past few years who have the same problem I do. That problem is diastasis recti, a separation of the rectus abdominus, no doubt due to a significant weight gain over the years. Much of the weight has been lost(60+ pounds so far), but there is still a bunch to go. And the result has been a considerable weakness of the abdominal myos and a weakened core. I can do Birddogs and planks but I can’t really even do one situp anymore because of this. I’d like to find a way to strengthen it and heal it without surgery, which seems to be the treatment of choice for the medics. I want a six pack, not two separate 3 packs.
If you can help me with this, we’ll both have something to brag about and you and I can both help serve others with similar problems. Obviously, losing more weight is a start, but there’s more to it than that. What say you? I’m game if you are – and that’s why I want those DVDs. Thank you.
[Reply to this]
1 – Perhaps this is a question that can’t be answered, but I am curious if stretch marks will prevent me from being able to show those abs. My problem areas are exactly where my stretch marks are: lower belly, obliques, and lower back. I have tried my darndest to do everything I’ve learned to get those abs to show, and these areas don’t seem to want to budge. I am at a healthy weight and my muscle tone shows in other areas, just not in my mid-section.
2 – I need this program because I desparately want to prove/disprove the above theory. I am so close to writing off the possibility of actually showing the 6-pack that I know is in there, and I would LOVE to prove myself wrong! Plus, I will also be able to encourage those other struggling moms out there to keep trying, and hopefully refer them to a program that truly works. That would be awesome!
Thanks for your awesome programs, Craig! I’ve learned so much from you, and your bootcamp workouts are a huge success at my church!

Hi Craig,
I have been battling a flabby stomach for ages. 5 years ago I was diagnosed with hypo-thyroidism and have since been trying to shed that loose fat that accumulated. My poor posture when sitting accentuates the tires:-( even though I am slim
My Question – How do I convert in weight\loss into really tight and firm abs? Is there any way of just strengthening the muscles more?
I have been working out, first tried cardio and basic weight training, complexes and then interval training that incorporated the outdoors. I have since plateaued and am turning to Indian ayurveda massages and tummy tucks at a slimming centre. That is only making me loose weight.
Rather than go through all that I would prefer a guided process like the TT for Abs DVDs that I can incorporate in my gym schedule.
Can you help?

Hey Craig.
First off, thanks for all of the emails full of pointers and advice.
I am currently on the last phase of a weightloss program and I seem to have reached a plateau. I broke a lot of my foot a few years ago and sat on my couch playing playstation for 5 months while it was in a cast. I ended up gaining about 40 lbs. I started my program at 245lbs. In the course of about 2 years I am now down to 185 lbs (yay me!) but I cant seem to get rid of the last bit of belly fat and see those contoured abs I can feel underneith. I thought I’d be happy after losing around 60 lbs (although some of it was muscle) and although I feel MUCH better, its not as rewarding as I hoped.
I have recently applied to be a pilot for the Air Force but there are some insane physical requirements. I have been working hard to reach the requirements but I need a bit more of a push. I think TT for abs would push me over the top. You seem pretty proud of your abs and I think that makes for an excellent mentor!
I dont necessarily have ONE question to ask, other than what do I need to do to display these hidden abs with the rest of the world?? Not only would your program be beneficial for me, but also for you by using me as a lab rat to promote your product. If it works, not only will you have living proof, but you helped someone achieve some serious goals physically, and career-wise.

Hi Craig,
My question is about how to lose belly fat. Can you explain how long sessions of cardio don’t help anyone losing their belly fat? Why trainers keep us running against mirrors and walls for eternities for no results on our bellies?
I was a basketball player for 16 years, hit the gym for several years to get more strength and endurance. But since I had to stop playing 6 years ago because a chronic disease, I lost motivation to go to the gym… so boring.
And that is the reason I really need the TT DVD: can’t get satisfaction at gym anymore and I intend to improve this important role at inspiring others with the same chronic disease!
Thank you.

Hello Craig,
Thanks for your almost daily/weekly e-mails. I use your recomended exercises with my group of special population group (PT or Weight failures) we enjoy the intensity and I will be incorporating your 25 alternative bodyweight exercises to our program too. This will of course create some variety in the program and challenging goals. I have a few to include myself who are trying to get the inches of the waist. We do quite a lot of cardio during the week, but the result is slow, in some the resulsts are seen in other parts of the body. We will like to see alittle more definitions in our midsection (decrease in size) to meet the standards. The majority are researcher/ lab techs and we are in need of some additional tools for a succesfull program decrease the waistline or belly fat. We are starting to include some other things enjoyable for all ages in the gym, great support group. Thanks and please continue to share with us your findings and success stories. For the rest out there lets keep this going.
Thanks,
TT training

I need this DVD so bad. I trained for years and never saw an ab – even when down to 5% body fat – what’s going on here???
I’ve spent the last 2 years controlling my under active thyroid and have just recently returned to building some lean muscle and have totally changed my eating habits BUT I know it will all go to waste unless I get my hands on this DVD package.
Please send me the DVD pack and end my painful search on how to get a set of abs!!!

Although I gained only baby weight when pregnant with my two boys, the skin on my stomach was obviously stretched. Even now, my youngest is 14 mths, I have a slight “overhang”! Is it physically possible to tighten this area completely or are we talking Lipo suction!!!
I train my abs everyday and have noticed the lower region tighten slightly. I also do HIIT bodyweight cardio most days which has definitely helped. Thing is I’m uninspired with my choice of ab exercises and need some fresh, intense ideas. I’d feel like I’d won an almighty battle if I could lose the overhang. Bring it on!

I am often confused about the best exercises to achieve the best abs possible. I read something in Men’s Health that contradicts what a trainer at the gym tells me which is different from what a physician tells me and all of that is different from what the next person tells me.
What two exercises can everyone agree on are the best to reduce fat, build muscle and help make abs appear? I don’t need a whole regimen…I just need two exercises that I can do consistently for the rest of my life….
Why do I deserve the DVDs? Well, I have starting and failing and getting frustrated with abs routines and fitness in general. But, I am committed to getting fit this year, because I turn 40 this year. With your help, I know I can do it.

Me again, my question was how can someone have 5% body fat and still have no abs?
How come I can see ab definition in someone who is overweight with a pot belly?
How can I work my abs, if my lower back is weak and hurts too much – I can’t even do a full sit up.

What does your vegan menu look like to loss the most belly fat?
Seeing all the movements of a exercise would be most helpful. Written and still pictures help, but it doesn’t answer all the question. Seeing it and following it would be the next best thing to having you next to me.

My question is…even when I get close to achieving flat abs the love handles are still there. I’ve seen photos of me when I was a scrawny kid, later as a skinny teen…with love handles. Can you convince me that love handles aren’t something semi-genetic and permanent?
The reason I need the DVD set…is that I’m skeptical but motivated to flatten my abs and divorce the love handles. This is my last effort before I re-tool my Shop-Vac into a lyposuction device.

As an older guy, 64, I am dealing with stomach fat that has reduced, but has not gone away. How do I conquor this “old age” belly fat? I have been told that it is due to low testosterone level which equates to too high of an estrogen level and the belly fat will never leave.
I do try to work out on a regular basis. I look at the information you have supplied with the TT training. I am sure that I am not doing all correctly. Having the new DVD would allow me to watch and learn better techniques to build abs. I am sure that techniques are so very important, but without a live action work out, a lot gets lost in the translation from paper to my work outs. The DVD would fill a void and allow me to train better.

My husband claims the only thing I need to lose the fat above my c-section scar is plastic surgery–it just won’t go away –how do I lose it and the fat around my hips from my insulin pump?
The reason I need to have this is so I can do it with my husband and we can both have rock hard abs and overall body improvement. I really want that flat stomach I had before I got married and I am convinced after doing 7 years of Pilates and Running Half Marathons and Ragnars I am never going to get that back. –I gained 20 pounds training for my 1/2 marathon and am having trouble losing it —Please Help! I am a recent father of triplets and need to find the right combination of proper nutrition and exercises that will burn belly fat and help add lean muscle to my overall physique. Since I now have four children, three just under 2 months and a 3 1/2 year old, I have no time to waste searching for such a combination of exercises and nutrition. My family is five months away from going to the shore and this year, I would like to look and feel better than ever. All of your advice on the DVD’s would definitely help me reach that goal. Thanks for offering a few free samples.

heya craig! so this is my one question:
we generally hear from fitness experts that it’s almost impossible to “spot reduce” in terms of losing fat. while increased muscle mass does help to increase fat loss, you would have to put on a LOT of muscle mass in that place to have a significant effect. in terms of actually doing ab exercises, I would assume that one would only do them–from a vain point of view–to increase muscle mass there so they “pop” more…. but then again that would only work for someone who is already quite lean (from a functional point of view, I understand that core stability is exceptionally important to full body movements etc). SO my question is: why is it that you/others might recommend ab circuits/ increased ab exercises (lower muscle recruitment/heart rate/energy expenditure) rather than other full-body circuits (higher muscle recruitment/heart rate/energy expenditure), since expending more energy–generally–would later result in higher fat loss (aka having more visible abs)? in other words, why would we do more exercises if other ones are more effective for fat loss anyway? hope I constructed that well!
why do I need these DVDs? well, I don’t have an epic story of how much weight ive lost, or how I have turned my life around completely with a certain program. to be honest, i’ve always kept in a healthy weight range, and my abs are possibly one of my better assets – ive never had a ‘belly’, per se; however, while my abs have kept relatively lean, I have never been able to attain a body fat level that gives me a six pack, AND I have never completely been rid of those small but extra annoying love handle areas that have forever haunted me! I think your approach and the help of these DVDs may really help me jump that last hurdle to really seeing the results I’ve wanted for so long. also I’m a very visual learner, and so any videos I can get my hands on help loads: I dont trust watching a lot of the boys at my university gym… sadly (but truly) a lot of them don’t have proper form and so I can’t trust them as reference for anything much…. unless I feel like really hurting myself or anything special like that (hahaha).
thank you sir, and hope you enjoyed the blurb and can maybe even help me find the answer to my slightly convoluted question(s).
your friend and fitness aficionado,
-Alex

Hi! I am 62inches 46 years old Pakistani mum(Those who do not know where Pakistan is please look up the world map) who battled with breast cancer 2 years ago had elective bilateral mastectomy and realized that you live only once! Jump started on the health track and lost a considerable amount of fat and weight to come down to 47kg from 57kg. However now I oscillate between 50-52kg. I want to be back at 47 kg without having the hideous low belly fat that just refuses to budge and did not go even then! This is in spite of following the nutrition & workout advice from your blog and following it very religiously. I am a medical doctor working 9-5 in a pharmaceutical firm and pursuing my M.Phil in the evening. Can I do it? Do you see anybody else who will have more use of it or is more appropriate than me as a winner?:)!

I really need the DVD for abdominals. I am 47 years old and my daughter called
me fat in front of her friends on the weekend. I must say that really hurt. I have
been trying really hard to work out and watch what I eat, but it is a long slow process
for me. I find it really difficult to follow along with a lot a papers and directions. I
am really hoping that I will be able to win the DVD’s so I can actually follow along
to a human being. If I get these DVD’s I believe I can become the role model for
my kids, and no longer be called fat! I would love to see results and actually see my abs.

1. Are there really foods that “burn belly fat”, or is that just something magazines say so that they have another article to put onto their pages?
2. Being in recovery from an eating disorder that had consumed me for many years, I am still working on ways, other than starving myself, to get ideal abs. I would really appreciate seeing a workout that actually shows results in a much healthier way than I have chose in the past.
You have already helped me in so many ways with your videos and blog entries and even if you don’t pick me I just wanted to say thank you!

My question is a nutrition one – I am very overweight and believe I would be 10-12 months away from having a great set of abs (that I’ve always wanted!) if I work very hard and most importantly, get my nutrition in check. I’m very aware of your simple nutrition Craig and believe that is the answer. My question is – when your diet has been very bad, as mine has, switching to whole, natural foods can be very daunting. In fact, I feel sick when I try eat a very high percentage of non-processed foods. Craig, do you have a nutritional strategy for changing over from a poor diet to a TT approved diet? Any tips, comments, observations on this? I realise I can train til the cows come home, but I will never see my abs unless I get the nutrition right – permanently. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Why do I need the TT for Abs DVD’s? I want transform my body to represent the love, respect and value I am now beginning to learn to apply to myself on an emotional and spiritual level. Craig, as a role model to me, I know your program can help me to do this – you live your life in a way that inspires me greatly. I often feel overwhelmed by the task at hand, and your TT for AB’s DVD’s would enable me to focus on the exercises in a way that really speaks to me – visually! To see the correct form and follow some of the great workouts would help me and motivate me exponentially.
Hope it’s a success for you!

I forgot my number one question regarding abs. Why is it that when I am working
them so hard and eating right, I am not able to get results?
[Reply to this]
Since High School wrestling (154#) I have not been lean. It is my desire, and I have worked on it off and on for 30 years. After a change in careers, and becoming stressed out, a workaholic, and eating whatever I wanted, I got bigger than ever (250#) and went on a 12 week challenge program. The biggest accomplishment for me wasn’t losing 50 pounds, but learning about nutrition and how to remain healthy as I got older. I did get lean, but my abs never really were my best muscle group. After a couple of challenges, I began to realize that my body had gotten used to the program, and I wasn’t sustaining my weight, nor was I making gains. Nutritionally, I wen’t back to eating whatever, some good, some bad.
That is when I got serious about weightlifting, and becoming stronger. This last year I have worked out regularly, and have made huge gains in my lifts. I feel like I am in great shape, but would love to see my abs stand out. I can see that my work has helped, but need something to “boost” my fat-loss, and help me reach my goals. I’m excited about the possibility of your program to help a 50 year old man have great abs again.
Thanks for the opportunity to possibly win your program. Kevin

Hi Craig, I’m a 44 year old 280 pound guy checking in all the way from Perth, Western Australia and suggesting that is why I’m special (the geography that is)… upon reflection I note:
1) My #1 question about getting six pack abs … is:
I suspect the number one problem about getting abs, is that all the issues around understanding training methods, getting equipment, a proper diet and available time are all redundant questions if you cant’t answer the question which is “where can I find the motivation to get on with wellbeing program (and find my abs)”???
2) Tell me why you need the TT for Abs DVDs…:
Follow along DVDs are like trainer wheels for a bike. Without the trainer wheels you might not even get on the bike! The wheels help bridge the competing forces of ‘fear of failure’ and ‘the inate motivation to improve’.
I need the DVDs to supplement my other TT programs (which rock) and kickstart my way back to health, activity and of course rock hard abs!

Hi Craig! I want to know if I can maintain flat cut stomach without doing hours of cardio and eating only protein and veggies?
I competed in a figure competition and I was able to acheive very nice abs but in order to do so I spent 2 to 3 hours a day in the gym, I would do 1 hr to 1 1/2 hrs of cardio. I only had one day of rest on Sunday’s. After the competition I was able to maintain a nice shape but I am not spending as much time in the gym and i have cut my cardio way down. As a result, I am not able to stay as lean. I really would love your TT workout because I want so bad to have the results I know I can acheive without having to spend so much time doing it. I know you program will help me do so. Thanks Craig!!

Dear Craig,
I have been “carrying” this lousy belly of mine for the last 35 years (that makes me a unique case, among all your clients). 35 long years have made my belly fat hard…. hard enough to melt! It has been sheer frustration for the last 35 years.
I have been closely following your ab programs. I have come to conclusion that, you are “sincerely” working hard to put up effective ab exercises. You have an in-depth knowledge of ab fat system and, your suggested ab exercises have sound scientific and medical basis. Those exercise really hit the ab.
I say this because, I have been doing “some” (“some” in a sense that, I’m financially poor and, cannot afford to pay for your programs) of your exercises and, have found that, there is slight improvement in the reduction of my belly fat, at the sides of my ab. This is indicative of effectiveness of your suggested ab exercises
Craig, you are doing good public service work, trying to improve the health of people. Keep it up and good luck!

Hello Craig,
Not normally a skeptical person but when it comes to your abs claims….my body is looking and feeling the fittest, and I’m very satisfied with the results. Note: I don’t fit the same sex category as you, or demographics or body usage.
The abs are a different story. Never got them to high definition. Well, not quite true. I did have a six pack but thats when my eating habits were super refined, and not sustainable over a long, period of time.
Seriously, I work and challenge my core along with abs from a variety of angles, exercises, sets, and I’ve used massive amounts of creativity to keep the routine fresh and full of variety.
I would make my abs laugh smile if I won to the DVD.Well, maybe not as many HAPPY FACES as you have!
I find people at the gym are always asking me for training tips especially for abs.
I would love to pass on the tips or make some folks happy by sending them, in your direction.

Hi Craig!
I’ll get to my question after I explain the reason for it… if you don’t mind…
About 2 years ago, I lost 40lbs by eating very little (under 1,200 calories) and by jogging at a steady pace for 40 minutes, 6 times a week, then performing some arm exercises with 3 lb weights for about 10 minutes…. in other words, I was doing everything I now know I should stay away from… this I know thanks to you!
Well, after about 5 months, the result was…. A SKINNY FAT version of my self.. or better put… a SOFT SKINNY version of myself… meaning, I had gone down 4 sizes, I was now a size SMALL, but… I STILL had a thick & soft layer of FAT around my belly!!! It was so frustrating!! After all that hard work and dedication, I could not wear a bikini!!!
How was I going to get rid of that layer of fat? The rest of my body was already starting to look TOO SKINNY… my arms were really thin, my ribs were showing right above my chest…
Would I need to loose another 10 lbs just so that layer of belly fat would go away??? What would the rest of my body look like if I did loose another 10 lbs???? WAY TO SKINNY FOR SURE!!!
I once read that everybody has different genetics and that this is what determines how & where we store fat. That our “problem area”, where we store fat more easily, is usually where we loose it LAST… which would mean, I needed to KEEP LOOSING weight to get rid of that layer of belly fat….
So, my question is:
Is there any way I can make FATLOSS come SPECIFICALLY FROM THE BELLY AREA???? And NOT have to wait to loose body fat from the rest of my body first, and ONLY THEN loose the belly fat… LAST!?
I have been WAITING for you to come out with a DVD set!!! I am SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!! It’s hard for me to follow your workouts just by looking at your exercise pics, etc. Actually, it’s because you didn’t have follow along DVD wrkouts that it took me so long to purchase your program… I kept thinking about it but I ended up purchasing beachbody DVDs, just because it would be easier for me to follow along… in the end I did purchase your program, but the DVD set is definitively going to make it SO MUCH BETTER!!!!
I will feel more confident that I am doing things the way they are supposed to be done! And this will give me that much needed peace of mind so that I can just concentrate on my form, rather than having these thoughts in my head of wether I’m doing the routiune the way it’s supposed to be, or wether I’m not performing the movements fats enough, etc.
THANKS SO MUCH for putting these together!!!
Paola

I’ll be 60 this year and want to make sure I do this program right. My questions is will I get the belly fat off at my age and have a flat belly again?
I need the video to help me learn the exercises correctly. I have lived with low back pain for 40 years as I was born with half the cushioning between the L5. I know my stomach muscles are weak and as I strenghten them my low back will not hurt as much or at all. I want to make sure I do the exercises correctly to not hurt myself while learning the exercises.

I have curvature in my spine, so the question on my mind is “What is the best set of ab exercises to go 6 pack while improving posture?”
Here I am hunched over my computer in the worst postion I can be in because I have been working since 8:30am and it close to 1:30am…The long hours behind a computer, inactivity, lack of time, the need to get in shape, lose weight and improve my posture, make me a candidate to win this program and become a spokesperson for TT Abs in the next couple of months! I could finally feel good about myself and just “feel good” period. I would also sing your praises and drive people to your site! Keep up the great work!

My question is this – when clean eating and seeing a dramatic change in my body’s phsyic, I have defined V shape clearly visible from my hips down & the outline of my abs, yet I cant get the 6 pack finish that im after. I dont know how to get that extra mile out of what I’m doing.
I’m doing the TT workouts, the 100/ 200/ 300 routines and interval training but I just cant get that finished look. Your insight would be greatly appreciated.

Can you please tell me how to deal with and get rid of cortisol-induced fat around my middle? It is a new thing for me, and I’m not quite sure how to deal with it.
I need your DVD set to give me the best chance to get rid of the bit around my middle that makes me feel fat an uncomfortable. I need one system to believe in, and a good look at you working out! I’m sure you can encourage me and help me meet my goals.
[Reply to this]
Well, first of all, I would like to know how to really ‘isolate’ your abs during workouts, so that they do most, if not all the work? This is something I have always struggled with. The other thing I would like to know is how to get rid of that last bit of belly fat, and how to keep that are relatively fat free, since I will often feel guilty after having a reward meal, thinking that all that work has been undone.
The reason I would like the DVDs would be for both guidance, regarding workouts, as well as motivation, as I am busy studying both a commerce and law degree, so I am constantly surrounded by people who don’t really look after themselves when it comes to diet, and can find it quite challenging at times, to not follow their trends. The other reason is, that I am very time poor as I am constantly studying, attending lectures or working, so having a DVD would allow me to watch it on my laptop during a lunch break, and save me the time of having to go around and ask others for advice, which is often controversial. TT has proven the most effective and reliable workout I have had, as I pretty much got instant results, so I really trust your advice.
Thanks for everything Craig!

Hello there!
My #1 question concerning ABS would definitely be diet VS excersize which plays a bigger role for getting that final look of ab definition
I am 19 years of age female, who’s always been on the leaner side…. but struggled with eating disorders and depression
)
I’m ready to just be who I am, but I have nothing to loose at this point (well except maybe a bit of fat
But I’m ready to unleash my potential and stop being in a rut. Whatever I need to do to acheive those abs I know are there
I want PROPER nutritan in my life but not to mention the excersize that will help get a body of dersire without wasting time

1) As a mother, in her early 40’s, of 2 young children, I need the TT for Abs DVD’s so I can follow along to the proper techniques and best sequences of the best ab/core workouts in a time efficient manner. It’s incredibly frustrating to eat fruits, veggies, EFA’s, lean meats, and healthy fats yet be at 35% body fat. (And yes, I normally do resistance training workouts and interval training 5 days per week.) Help!
2) For people who are insulin sensitive, I love carbs (especially fruit) but it’s easy for me to gain weight that way, is there a particular nutrition and training regiment that will give me the fat loss results (overall fat loss means one day I can see my abs) I want?
In the comments section below, please post your #1 question about getting a flat stomach and six pack abs OR how to lose belly fat.

. Build stamina, boost my metabolism
. Improve my strength, flexibility and overall fitness level.
. Have flatter, firmer abs, toned legs and upper body
. All this and have my favourite instructor every day!

Hey Craig,
My #1 abs question is this:
What is the best way to maintain a low bodyfat level after getting there?
The reason I should get the TT for abs is that I have always been able to reach around 10% bodyfat, but not much further than that and I always seem to go above that and then go through the same routine of getting that low again. Also my abs are what you would call soft abs. I know that with your program I can get rock hard abs that are extremely amazing!
Thanks!

Well, my questions is how to get my abs to be nicely shaped and fairly visible and get them onto a level, when I don’t work out for a couple of days, I won’t loose them! …so how to work them out and how to eat to have them/keep them PERMANENTLY (all year round)
And why? I’m a girl, can’t complain too much about my body. I do have a flat stomach, and some abs lines, but! But I want nicely shaped stomach with abs
I’ve been working on them, plus minus, 3 YEARS! and still can’t get those VISIBLE abs I’m yearning for!
I’d like them from two reasons, one because I want them and the second is to sort of impress another girl I like very much
That’s why!
BTW, YOU are awesome!
Keep it up

Alice, thank you for the kind words!
I’ll answer the other questions in a special report real soon!
[Reply to this]
Hi Craig,
My number one question about abs is – how do I rebuild my abs after having 3 kids? Since I’ve had the munchkins my belly is a completely different shape, and my belly fat sits differently – my skin tone is fine, so my problem is entirely in the abs underneath. It’s also harder to ‘feel’ the muscles working, so how do I get them back?
So why do I need (and I really do *need*) the DVDs? Well for a start I live in Australia, and I haven’t found any TT trainers here in sunny Brisbane, so apart from your online videos these DVDs are my only option (so thank you thank you thank you for making them!). Second, those three kids I mentioned? They can be a little difficult to train around, and the DVDs would give me flexibility in my training schedule to train on *my* time! Finally – and maybe most importantly, all of my existing training experience is based on ‘traditional’ ab exercises. Now you’ve been saying over and over that there are better ways to beautiful abs, and I just have to believe you’re right because I have *never* managed to have decent abs! I need these DVDs to show me a better way, and maybe finally give me my body (and my self esteem) back – I love my three kids desperately, but my body has never been the same and I am tired of feeling fat and frumpy. I know I can get my body back, I just need the right kick along.
thanks for reading, and for giving us all an alternative to everything we’ve known before!
Cheers

Even though I am a fully qualified Personal trainer myself and long distance runner, I still struggle with lower ab definition. I managed to get quite a nice sculpted look to my upper abs but my is caused (as I see it) by a caesarian scar from some years ago. The area around the scar site is ‘dead’ due to damage to the nerve, which takes a long long time to heal/grow again. I find some lower ab exercises difficult, if not impossible (no response from my muscles!) and the matter is compounded by an inflexible lower back – which I am working on with extensions/stretching etc. There is actually not a great deal of fat, due to running but I simply cannot ‘tone’ up this area! Any suggestions??
Would like to win DVD to see if there is anything I can change or maybe I should just completely change my routine. Learn from an expert, so to speak ..!

The only question I have is: how is it possible that I work out every day, specially my stomach because it annoyes me, annoyes me that I can not sit on the beach without something on my stomach to cover it.
That is also the reason why do I need that DVD – to see am I doing the wrong kind of moves or something else that is wrong. I go to the fitness, have my personal coach, and still no results on my stomach. You are my last hope – if there is something I can do to make six pack etc. I believe you know about it and you showed it in that DVD.
[Reply to this]
I am 60 years young, and I want to know, being 60, is it to late to have a flat sexy stomach? Forget the six packs, I would settle for a three….but it has to be flat! I have fallen in love with TT, and who needs a man when you have this web site to entertain you with exercise, great nutrition, and the humor you put into your videos. I NEED the DVD to get in shape for my children as I have to be a great role model to them. It would be great to show them and others, at 60 or any other age, you still can be slim and trim with muscles! This would be a great way to educate the younger generation (you to, Craig!) that you CAN have energy, flat abs and a great physic at ANY age using the proper exercise and nutrition plan-and your DVD. I thank you in advance!
[Reply to this]
2) I hope you don’t mind if I start from question nr 2 – why I need YOUR DVD?
I am 43 year old women, used to have sports in a childhood (I especially loved skiing), but due to different reasons got overweight in teenagers age and gave up sports. So it was during the whole of my life – without sports and exerciseing. Of course I wanted to have a different body, but I always found a suitable “excuses” why not to exercise. I feel embarrassed right now, but this is the truth.
3 years ago serious problems with my health began – with heart, kidneys and hormonal system. My doctor said, that I have 2 ways and I have to choose. Or become and be on strong medicines the whole of my life… or completely change my way of life. The second alternative was and is much harder, but there is a chance to be healthy! So I made my choise and change my life – I started exercise, changed the way I eat.. and what is most important – my mindset. I realized, that no one will come and “make me healthy and beautiful”, but everything is only in my own hands…. and I started change and work. It wasn’t always a easy path, but I have my goal – to be healthy, and, first time in my life – maybe to look nice one day. Of course I couldn’t start heavily (remember; I had serious health problems) … in the beginning I just walked every day. With every weather, no mater how I felt… it wasn’t easy at all! And I remember the day, when I could run for first 50 meters at last ..
So for now I have trained for 3 years.. I have added distance, time, some weights, some light intervals etc.And I feel, that I have reached the stage, when I have to change something, but I don’t know, how to do it as a system. I have searched in internet and looked through huge amount of different exercises, programs etc. I really feel and believe, that more natural way to exercise is right, at least for me. I really enjoy your bodyweight exercises and the ones with kettlebells, stability ball – all these, which use natural ways and functional movements of human body. I have bought a kettlebell and stability ball for me, also a couple of dumbbells. But I don’t have a systematic approach and I need some guidance!
And I must confess, that you are one of the very few coaches, whose body I really like! This is an essential question for me – if the body of a coach is not beautiful for one – how is it possible to believe or trust that he/she can turn your body the way you like?! And, what is also very important for me – you seem to me very ethical. So looking at you…. reading and listening your story… I just trust you! So I would like you to be my “virtual coach” and I would like to exercise under your guidance and program. That was the reason, why I need just YOUR DVD
.
1) Now the question nr 1 – about getting a flat stomach and six pack abs OR how to lose belly fat.
As I have done it all on my own and using some advices and exercises from internet, I probably don’t have a right way and still have a very ugly lower belly fat. It just is there as some pillow or bag. I realize, that just a crunches don’t help… but I am not sure, what does. I started to feel my abs as I made your exercises I found in youtube and your webpage, but this “bag” still lays there…. so my question is: what have I do to get rid of this ugly and unhealthy belly fat
And even if I will not win your DVD – I am glad that I have found your exercises from internet I and I really thank you for this! All the best!

Hi Craig,
I really need your help. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
Late last year I suffered a very debilitating bout of depression, which left me afraid to go out in public, much less go to the gym, which made the TT programs all the more important to me. I’ve been doing TT and following you nutritional advice for a few months now, but I don’t seem to be getting the results that Body Pump, Body Attack and Body Step gave me. I’ve eat meat only twice a week (I following your meal plans), I have only one glass of wine on a Friday night, I never drink soft drinks and don’t have a sugar problem. In fact, there’s no sweets in the house!
As I’m over 40 and until only 6 months ago had an awesome four pack (I’m a woman, so I don’t have a six pack), I feel I need some special help. My question: What can a woman over 40 years of age, suffering from mild depression, who doesn’t need to lose much weight but just needs to shift a tiny little bit, do to regain her abs, her infamous quads, her lean, hard arms and her self esteem?
I am so ashamed of my body at the moment, I don’t want to go anywhere or do anything – which is a vicious cycle, I know. Last week, I forced myself to face the fear of stepping in the gym door and went to Pump. Twice.
But really, what has happened to my formerly amazing body is compounding to keep me depressed. Perhaps your DVD could help me?
Actually, I don’t care if I win the competition or not. I just need some help. I feel like I’m on a downward spiral. I am willing to try anything to get back to how I looked only 6 months ago.
Please help.

Hi Craig
You saw me in Tampa at Transformation Domination and heck, you can see I need all the help I can get. I did TC3 and had abs at 41 the first time in my life. Fell off the wagon a bit but they are starting to show but would love them to be seen some more…… I owe it to Freebird too x
So no question just me pleading

The Question:
As I have just recently turned 40, I have noticed that belly fat is getting more and more stubborn to make disappear. Are there any changes I should be making to combat this slow down due to age?
Why I need the TT for Abs:
I’ve fought a long battle to get to where I am today. Seven years ago I was evicted from my apartment, lost my job and alone. Over the last seven years I’ve earned my Bachelor’s Degree, gotten married, bought my first house and found my dream job. Now, I am expecting my first child, a wonderful daughter. I’ve grown so much achieving all of these things, unfortunately, not all of that growth was in my character. I’ve gained 9 inches on my waist as I prioritized all these other areas of my life. That’s okay, I love my life and I wouldn’t change anything that I’ve done. Only now, with my daughter on the way, I realized how much of a role model I’m going to be! I want my daughter to have a fit father to look up to, to play with, to be proud of. I want to model for her what being healthy and strong means and have the tools to show her how to do this for herself. That’s why I need this program.

I am an older woman and would like to get myself in better shape, but have worries about how to do exercises in the correct manner as I have a weakness in my back. I do not have access to a gym as I live in the countryside in France.
I would love to receive your DVDs to help me in my goal to a healthier me.

Hi Craig
I am desperate to win a copy of this programme. Just the other day I came across a pic of when I was about 21 and remembered that even then although I had a flatter stomach and was only about 65kg I still did not have a six pack. That whole area has been of some concern having had 5 operations in that region so far do therefore I have a great weakness and although am toned elsewhere THAT BUDDHA BELLY OR RHODESIAN BELLY as we call it will not budge. This I assure you is not because of booze but I have to admit my 3 weaknesses coke, chocolate and milk. I am currently 88kg therefore congratulated by my doctor as being officially obese and this is after all the pain and torture of going to gym daily, having a personal trainer and depriving myself of my 3 vices. Also considering the fact that the doctor insists I have to loose the belly as I will be heading for trouble now that I nearing mid forties. Added to that I will be retrenched as from Friday so will not be able to attend gym- hopefully if I were to win this dvd I would be able to work at it myself.
Cheers and thanks for the opportunity!!

My number one question about getting a flat stomach and six pack abs and/or loosing belly fat would be how and when too eat. Beyond eating clean whole foods, I never really know what to do. Some say six small meals a day. Others say eat little to nothing all day and then at dinner (night) time eat a more sizable meal. Some say you have to know your metabolic type, others say you have to count calories. Atkins diet, raw diet, juicing, fasting, cheat meals, carb cycling, a gallon of milk a day diet, AHHHWWW. Help me!!! Craig, with all the info out there I am more lost then ever.
Why do I need the TT for Abs DVD’s? The main reason is you have the education and have put the time into real research and what you advocate is based on real science. I have my degree and I do not have the time to get another won like yours in order to work out properly. That is where you come in. You are the expert. Your interview with Ryan Magin was awesome. It made me realize that I need to start talking fitness advice from people that have been both in the trenches at school and the field. You are my go to guy now. You have the look I am after and the proper way to get to that goal.
Also, I was always in great shape until I broke my knee at the age of 19 (now 34). By my mid twenties I found my self to be quite fat. I started my fitness quest by ordering P90 (your interview with Tony Horton was great by the way) then P90X and P90X+. I got in pretty good shape but never could see my abs. Although these are great programs I am bored with them now and I am looking for something new. I function best by using follow along workout videos and that is why I am so glad to know you listened to you followers and provided them with what they asked for. Craig, I need these videos. This is exactly what I need. Trust me if I get these videos I will bust my butt. There is that obligation motivation type thing when someone gives you a gift like this, you have to have result or you will feel super guilty. I know you are a proponent to workout quality, high intensity, and variety when it comes to your workouts (more reasons why I need your program). I hope you have some really intense and advance workouts also because I love the torture and pain of it all.
Craig, thanks for taking the time to read my entry.

Firstly the question:
1. – What exercises should I be doing to work my obliques??
2. I would LOVE the DVD as I am a visual learner and find it difficult (and I tend to switch Off) when reading instructions. I am from the UK and for the past 8 years weighed the same which I was happy ish with. Then I had thyroid cancer, (which I am clear from), but the medication caused me to gain 8kg!!!! and I feel is still going up. The weight is particularly around my tummy and legs. This is also a big year……I turn 40!! and would love people to say, “Wow you have the body of a 30 year old”, so I need all the help going, so please pick me.

Craig,
Been running the TT for Abs workouts for several months. Managed between this and a previous program to go from 195 to about 170/175 in the past ~8-10 months. No gimmicks, no silly workouts, and the only thing I did try was a diet pill for the past couple of months that did help me get those last 5-7 pounds off…but I’m done with that. Just a treadmill/bike, dumbbells, mat, ball, and platform…
Now stuck on the next “plateau.” Still way too much belly fat and trying to figure out how to really burn that off without needing to drop more “weight.” I feel like there’s some good ab muscle down there, but I still need to rip off a bunch of more fat to even begin to see it! (aside from eating even better than now, or really getting more hardcore in that dept./in general with things)
Having the DVD’s would also give me more of a straight guidance and plan without fail, as well as the ability to see the workouts done before me and do them correctly. Although I do this in the gym, I could feasibly do it at home and save on the membership…plus you always wonder sometimes if you’re doing a couple of exercises with the right forms and motions. Could get those abs finally cranking, blast the fat, and see them(!?) by the summer.
[Reply to this]
Craig, c’mon why else would people…..sorry females want the dvd’s of you working out?
To be inspired of course! It’s all very well doing the exercises, but to have you doing them at the same time, sweating it out, those muscles rippling, just makes it all the more interesting.
On a serious note, I enjoy doing the exercises, I can’t do the complicated lifts etc( I don’t have the equipment) but I like the fact that most are simple and using your own bodyweight. I’ve always been strong, but feel stronger in other areas now. I’m not entirely focused on abs I just like to lose more overall body fat. Thanks
[Reply to this]
At 51 I look good but I want to look GREAT,
The abs are so hard to define at any age but I find it almost impossible now.
Your workouts are fantastic and they are part of my every day routine.
Total satisfaction is now my aim.
Your abs DVD sounds just what the “doctor” ordered.

Hi, my biggest issue is belly fat! I have had two abdominal operations , first one was in 1993 giving birth to a beautiful daughter, though i was able to get into shape fairly quickly as I was a dancer/performer ( was back on stage 8 months after giving birth) I never seemed to recover that abdominal strength back prior to the operation but i still looked good, my second operation was for a growth in my uterus which I had removed in 2006. I was then 44 years old and retired from dance (I’m now 48years old), since my second operation, I have not been able to shift my belly fat and it’s having a profound negative effect on my self esteem on all levels of my life.
I have been following your you-tube workouts/ news letters with much passion since 2009 and found your system very inspiring/scientific and motivational, giving me the feeling that it could be possible to feel good in my skin again. I’m a single mother and on a budget so I workout at home with mat Pilates and try to eat sensibly, but it doesn’t seem to shift my thickening waist line… thank you for this generous opportunity to win your workout DVD s. I am nearly 61…part time personal trainer..in fairly good shape, but ever since I donated a kidney to my sister, I have puffiness in lower abs. Is there a way to get rid of this? Should I be turning up the interval workouts?
[Reply to this]
1. How can you tell how strong your abs/core are? I think my core is pretty strong but I, like others, have a flabby layer of fat on top. I had 2 abdominal surgeries + 2 childbirths and the fat layer is pretty loose ie it hangs free when I’m in plank position. Core is tight so there’s no sucking it in, it’s just loose fat/skin. How do I fix this?
2. I want the program because I live in Hong Kong and am isolated here. Most everyone here is size Asian size 0-2, and it’s demoralizing as I have a hard time finding clothes that fit — I’m US size 4-6, but big shoulders. I need to get rid of 4-6 lbs of BF and maybe I can fit Asian size L.

My question is this:
I have been working out at home for the last six months and have last about 4 kilos during this time. However, most of the loss has been on the upper body, arms and legs. In spite of doing ab exercises regularly, I have managed to lose some of my belly fat with some muscles showing prominently. However, I just cannot get rid of the belly and flatten it to my satisfaction. Am I not doing the right exercises or is it the diet that is preventing the loss of fat in this area?
[Reply to this]
Hi, I’m 31 years old and a mother of two. I’ve never actually had a problem with my weight and I my stomach was one of my areas that I loved to show of most, even after my first pregnancy. However after my second child, alas – I now have a flobby belly!?, only the mid section, the lower and upper muscles has titen up nicely again. I exercise regularly and do exercises targeting only the abs, but I don’t see any improvement. I’m really depressed!
I really don’t know what exercises to do to target those muscles and believe the DVD will be of much help.
[Reply to this]
My question is what kind of meal and nutrition plan would you need to gain and build muscle at the same time as burning off fat?
I believe these dvds would be helpful to me because i havnt got the 1st idea of what kind of foods i should be eating, how much protein, fat, carbs etc i need to get the body that i want along with the types of workout it would take.
Im 20 years old, 5′8”, weigh 154pounds and so as you can tell im pretty skrawny, but i also have a stomach thats impossible to get rid of. i used to have some ab definition but always had a small layer of flab covering my abs and hiding any real definition. Now though my belly has gotten a bit bigger and i have trouble adding any size to my muscles aswell, i’ve been going to the gym but it seems like the people working there arn’t at all helpfull and the people training there are even less so.
so what i really want to do is build up my muscles to a respectable size and define them, particularly my abs and tiny pecs.
at the minute i look like a Daniel Radcliffe after too many pies and my target body would be to look more like a Taylor Lautner or Ryan Reynolds.
So the reason i need the dvds is to help me get the body i’ve been striving for since i was 14 where everything else has failed to help
thanks, Drew

my #1 Question on how to lose belly fat:
How do I add variation into my workouts with limited time, space and equipments to maximize fat loss in order for my set of six pack abs to finally show?
I need the TT for Abs DVDs because I believe it is the answer to “my # 1 Question on how to lose belly fat”. I’ve been seeing a lot of great results at the TT Transformation Contests from people who have been using a variety of TT Workouts & Diet Programs and I admire them for finally reaching their goal. In my case, I managed to lose 30lbs of body fat and gained 8 lbs of lean mass by following some of the free workouts in the TT Blog since i can only do some because my local gym lacks space and equipments and most of the time I resorted to using my living room with a dumbbell, stability ball and a pull up bar(it’s not really a bar, just the door frame). I also hit my plateau and can’t seem to lose the fat anymore, so I decided to enroll at another gym that has all the necessary equipments that I need but still I lack the knowledge on how to finally make a set of six pack abs. So here I am joining the fun and like many others hoping for a chance to finally reach our goal.
[Reply to this]
Why do I want the TT for abs dvd’s ? Simple – I’ve never had “abs”, don’t know what they look like.
Since starting out on TT for fat loss 6 weeks ago I have lost 10lbs (dropped from 178 lbs to 168lbs, I know it’s about body fat % not just weight but am convinced I have lost some body fat along the way) without spending any more time in the gym. Having now been convinced about the total effectiveness of TT for fat loss I am more than convinced, without even seeing it, about how effective the TT for abs would be. So, I simply want the dvd’s so I can see what my abs look like.
[Reply to this]
Hi Craig,
TT has been a dream come true for me. I follow your TT For Fat Loss manual and it surely is helping me lose some weight. Iv been on it for 2 weeks and can start to feel the difference. I have been hearing and reading and receiving your emails for the past couple of months. The workouts and interesting, fun and thankfully lack the cardio intensive workouts that gyms in general recommend.
I want to learn how to do each of these exercises properly. The TT For Abs DVD will teach me the form and positioning of each of these exercises. Building strong abs can lead to a number of good things like a strong lower back and a good overall physique.
Diet is another important reason for building strong abs and the TT For Abs will hopefully give some insights into that aspect as well. I have been on the TT Lifestyle concept of diets by loading my breakfast up with nuts and fruit shakes, eating less bread and more veggies, and of course the protein sources of dals (lentils). I try and add some cottage cheese, broccoli and other stuff as well.
Looking forward to winning this!!!
Cheers Craig and keep up the good work with the workouts!

My #1 question about losing fat and getting a flat stomach. Why are many physicians and people in the fitness industry telling us (women-specifically) that once we hit age 50 or have a hysterectomy we are “stuck” with a “muffin” top/stomach/belly? I have this problem and hear it from women whenever a discussion comes up about getting toned, slim, losing fat, losing weight, getting their bodies back again…you name it, the word comes up!!! It is so frustrating to have this problem and be told you are just going to be “stuck” with it because you have reached a certain age or have had “the” surgical procedure!!
Personally, I am not convinced this is the case at all. On the other hand, I have yet to find the correct exercises, cardio, etc. to correct or improve this problem. I want to be able to wear a nice pair of jeans, pants, skirt or slimming dress and not have to worry about hiding that muffin top!! I would so LOVE to have your set of DVD’s, follow your instructions, be compliant nutritionally and prove them all wrong. At the same time, I can get my self-esteem back up to par, feel good about the way I look in anything I wear and not have to worry about what is going to look “ok” or decent and still cover up the evil muffin top!
Thanks for giving me this opportinity to be considered for the TT for ABS DVD’s so that I can get my flat stomach back again once and for all!!

#1 question about abs. In terms of female abdominals, do you think female hormones have a significant role to play in the development and visibility of abs?

There isn’t a program out there that addresses everything, workouts, nutrition, etc. I need help to shred this unwanted (and dangerous for my age) fat.

which is the best way to flatten our abs and get rid of the pot belly shape i weigh 235lbs and have a bodyfat % of 17% you can see shape of my abs underneath the layer of fat but sometimes i look bloated from the side how can i solve this.
Iam 40 years of age and was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 33 which affects my left leg movement I am in better shape than when I was 30 been training since i was 18 and hven’t had a proper six pack since then I need all the help I can get
[Reply to this]
My biggest issues with abs come from diet, especially alcohol. I only now have a couple of drinks one day every week, but it seems to throw off everything when I do. I stick to a little gin or tequila with a lot of club soda added, so I can get a lot of effect from just a little drink. My diet is otherwise good: low sodium, no sugar, high protein, low carb and carbs are all brown rice (in true form and brown rice pasta).
I am reluctant to give up the drinks because I otherwise have no vices and it provides a nice release in a social setting at the end of the week. SO, my question is, do I need to give this up in order to see better results or do you have any advice to offer? Is it possible to keep this and maybe up the amount of ab exercises I do to compensate?
Secondly, I would love the DVDs because my work schedule sometimes messes up my workout schedule and it hard to stick to the exact days I am supposed to be doing (on the correct days). If I had the DVDs, I could do the workout anywhere and making it to the gym wouldn’t matter as much. I would still go to the gym as much as possible because I feel like it is easier to do the interval workout part there. The DVD would definitely help me achieve what I want to achieve. I am forever struggling with the last 10 pounds!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I have my goal set for May 31 2010 and i know with your program i can achieve that. I am willing to do whatever it takes as i have plante my fitness goal deep into the roots of the subconcious and ive been taking action consistently. I just need to learn how to make my foods taste good so i can continue my nutrition plan without feeling the need to eat bland foods and i believe your dvd solves all of my minor problems to have the breakthrough this year.

1. I’m never sure in a work-out whether to go for quantity (for example many reps of a couple of ab exercises per session) or variety (for example fewer reps but of more ab exercises). Part of the issue here is keeping an exercise group happy and interested.
2. I’d like the DVD to help me keep the group ‘happy and interested’ – I run a ‘boot camp’ of sorts (it’s free – a kind of community effort for friends and anyone who wants to join in – see the website) and it sure helps having this king of help. Thanks.

Well, I am 67 and have been working very hard for the last 6yrs to reduce my fat. Was very successful in the beginning. But no matter haw hard I work out or how long I just can’t seem to loss the last 15-20 lbs. I have gone from 44in waste line to 39.5, Need to get that extra few inchs off.
SO My question is how to get that last few inch off and what is the best exercise to use for it. I believe health is a major factor at my age and reducing the belly is a major factor for me. It will be great to be with my love for a longer time.

My question is.. What do you do to keep the fat off your belly? It is said that belly fat is the easiest to get rid off in comparision to your arms…but what I find is that belly fat is also the most easiest to get back!
I have been following you on facebook and various sites and also do everything you suggest in your emails, and I had started loosing fat. But due to an injury to my back I couldnt work out for a week. I noticed that the rest of my body wasnt affected much, but my belly started expanding right away!!
Now I am having a harder time getting rid of the ugly belly fat! Im 18 years old and have this huge party comming up in the next month in my University. I am going to be awarded for the project i did last semester. And I really want ot get rid of the fat by next month! Im a 100% sure that your Abs workout will work wonders because I have already experienced some of your magic!

I always wanted to have the six pack abs, for that matter I want to be fit all over my body.I am at my witts end and I’m running out of ideas to reach my goal.I would tell everyone to get themselves a copy to use if I saw that they had a problem as well, So please help!

1. Which is the better path to a flat stomach: training harder & smarter (for example TT) or dial in your diet? For a busy man in the corporate field, it’s impractical to eat 6 meals a day as recommended by most health experts. So, does 6 meals a day make it easier and faster to achieve a flat stomach? (Sorry about two the two questions).
2. I’m excited about TT for abs because of three issues. The first issue is I’ve got chronic asthma and research links belly fat to higher incidences of asthma. So, to get rid of belly fat through TT for Abs would improve my health. The second issue is a personal challenge. The last time I had abs was when I was 25. I’m approaching my 41st birthday this year and would love to surprise my wife with an improved midsection. The third issue is to be a role model to my two kids of a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

To Mr. Craig Ballantyne,
To be chosen to recieve these DVDs would be wonderful indeed, since I follow
the instructions and short workouts , but the correct tempo , rest , and shifts of pace
are hard to pinpoint.
Born with too short achilles tendons in the legs, it would be an enormous help to
push myself past the comfort zone.
This would also help get rid of too much ’stuffing ‘ on the stomach.
Thank you very much for a strong and helpful internet school that gives women a chance
to find their strength, too.

well to be honest, i feel like i need to do something to get into better shape, but finding a program to stick with is hard for me, im 18 and ive put on quite a bit of weight lately, its really effecting my confidence and how i feel, and i need to fix it. seeing pictures of you really inspired me to change my body for the better as soon as possible, and i know that with your DVD i could accomplish my short-term and long-term fitness goals

Ab Question : You said everyone has some (abs). You seem like the guy that can help me find them (abs). Is this true?
I think you need to pop your DVD’s in the post for me because I have had 5 C-Sections and have toddlers to teenagers, I do ABC’s to Algebra, have sons in OT and Physio for hypotonia and aspergers, run around from pillar to post for the 7 of us. Shop EVERYWHERE to find good food, AND, I need more hours in the day (Did you mention you could control time aswell!!!). Your workouts seem to boast ‘High Quality Training in MINIMAL Time’. Sounds good to me (since I have no time to spare OR waste). I live in Australia and I would like for you to talk to me while I workout (It’s not fun on your own). Lastly, I want to be here to see my childrens, children, or at the very least, get my teenager off the couch to join in with me instead of watching me…

My qestion-Is it possible to rehab the abs after a being pregnant with a very large baby? I’ve hit a point where I’m wondering if “this is good as it gets”. My reason for wanting fab abdominals (as well as a hot form in general)- I will start applying for residencies in July so I can finish my doctoral degree in neuropsychology. I am well…a little older than the other applicants who tend to be in their late 20’s. Let’s face reality- youth sells. While I’ve worked very hard to reclaim my form- after eating crap and drinking too much coffee for years….arms are getting defined, legs always good (I run)- abs need an intervention! I want to look like I am ready and able to take on the world come interview time!

My number one question is how to get rid of the bottom little pooch that I have covering my last two abs. I have the top four out very clearly, but those last two have never seen the light. What am I doing wrong. I also have some ab veins popping out below it, so I know I am getting pretty lean, but it WON’T go away! Help me.
I want this because I want my cousins and family to be blown away when they see me this summer at the family reunion. We all work out and look like we are in good shape. But I really want to knock their socks off! It feels so good to finally have my body looking good and have great muscle tone, but I want to see the bottom abs!
Thanks for your help!

My number one question is: Are there certain body types that just cannot get six-pack abs?
I am 49 years old, and have been trying to get six-pack abs most of my life, well, at least since I was 15 or so anyway, and no matter what exercises I tried or how hard I worked out I could never get there. Because I am barrel-chested I finally decided it must be that my body type just cannot achieve a six-pack.
Why do I need your TT for Abs DVDs?
Because over time I became very discouraged (even depressed) and finally I gave up trying and then, due to health problems, beginning a couple of years ago I quit working out all together and began to swell up like a balloon. Recently, due to a rupture in my intestine wall, I was basically forced onto a starvation diet and lost about 60 lbs which, now that I am on the other side and once again in (reasonably) good health, I DO NOT want to gain back. I have been reading your newsletter for some time now and it has given me inspiration, and now that I am finally well enough, I want to get on the best workout program available.
If your DVDs can help me to keep the weight off, AND finally get six-pack abs, then they are exactly what I need to keep my newfound inspiration and to get back in shape, and stay that way, instead of going back to the same vicious workout – depression – balloon cycle I was living before.

#1 ? Why can’t you work abs daily? It seems to me the core would be the one area that you want to be working out every day.

Hey Craig,
Huge fan here.
1. My question is not really training-based, but rather concerns a more mental aspect of acquiring the coveted “six pack.” I am at that extremely frustrating stage of losing that last bit of flub from my lower abdominal area and wanted to know: how do I know whichever route I take to completing this task is working? My weight is not really a concern, as my fluctuations are similar to yours (as you spoke about in one post), but yet when I see that I’ve legitimately added a few pounds (even if I have gotten significantly stronger in the weight room), I’m not sure how to discern muscle gain from fat gain.
This may stem from the fact that I was a “chubby kid,” and am subconsciously trying to stray as far away from that as possible, and though I know this is not a typical or simple question to answer: do you have any recommendations for how to be confident in my regimen and truly base it on gains and how I feel, rather than what the scale says?
2. A free copy would mean the world to me because, as somebody lacking the wherewithal to be able to just purchase fitness eBooks and DVDs (no matter how much I’d like to), I really think that this would be the best gift imaginable.
Sincerely,
Ned

My number one question is how to lose that last one inch of blubber I have that keeps me from looking as buff as I feel! I’m 53 and have a chance to work out at my work place. Having the DVD’s would let me know exactly how to perform the exercise with the right tempo and would also allow me to help the women that I work out with here at work. Keep up the great workouts!

I am 51 years of age. I have been successful at everything I’ve done except for
look after the health of my body.
I need to lose 30 lbs and get rid of my belly fat.
I have tried atkins,South Beach diet it didnt work for me and yes I’ve tried.
I do a job that requires heavy lifting. I walk alot i even do crunches but most of
it hurts my back. I need a way to burn fat effectively.
I am hoping this is it.

Craig,
A female with a great svelte physique, was at the pinnacle of my fitness last year, in my 40’s and as fit as!! However, I had simply one problem – from doing excess crunches – before the time your fabulous TT system became available – I had developed a tiny bulge within the abdominal area, and being a tiny size anyway this had a detrimental affect to my physique, all that hard work and sill a ‘Bart Bulge’ how bizarre and how do I eradicate this…?
I would love to be in the running to win your DVD as I have never won anything in my entire life and this would be a first in the history of Jamie-Leigh… !

Why I need teh DVDs: I need the DVDs because I had a baby six weeks ago and would love to work out at home!

I lost 40LBS in 4 months, biked 7,000 km last year on my peddle bike, I eat 7-8 times a day and am very careful of what to eat when, but I have been struggling with the last 5-7lbs of belly/side fat, there’s not much left to go, but I can’t seems to get the 6 pack I’ve always wanted. At the gym six days a week and just coming off a heavy weight program into a lighter weight more reps program to get ripped. The DVD’s could possibly help me reach my goal before summer is here. It’s now almost March and NOW is the time to begin.
Please consider my request.
Cheers!

Hi Craig!
My question is this – I am 37 with 4 children. The last 2 were twins. That pregnancy got my body up to 200 pounds. Through a lot of hard work and learning I am now down to 120lbs and 20% bodyfat. I have been told there is nothing I can do about the lower abdominal saggy skin area from the pregnancies but surgery. ( tummy tuck). I don’t want, nor can I afford plastic surgery. I would love your DVD’s so that I can get my belly back and prove everyone wrong – that you can tone and flatten your abs without surgery.
Thanks!

Hi Craig, I have been doing your TT workouts for the past year. I am so pleased with the results except for my belly. It is much smaller but I still have a small amount of lower belly fat and loose skin.
1. Can I still tighten and flatten my belly at the age of 50?
2.I would like to win the TT for Abs DVD so I can reach my goal of a strong and healthy body even at 50,
Thanks

Q: When training for a flat stomach and six pack abs, does one need to mix up the diet plan over the course of training as one would with fitness plans to help get over plateaus?
I know I could use these DVDs because if I could gain more knowledge on the specifics of getting six pack abs, the chances are much greater for me to attain some for the first time in my life.

1.) My diet is already lean, BUT I’m needing extra fuel (calories) to put on the lean muscle mass (otherwise I’m feeling drained post workout). These extra calories are always going to my waist. My question is – “How do I find the PERFECT balance between training and nutrition to achieve the Craig Ballentyne physique?
2.) After following TT training and the ‘TT lifestyle’ for the past several years I am in the greatest shape of my life at 47. I’ve got well defined lean musculature everywhere; chest, back, shoulders, arms and legs. My guess is that my body comp. is around 10%. My goal and my primary focus for 2010 is to really trim down this stubborn mid-section and increase my lean muscle mass by 10 – 12 pounds. I am using TT for Meatheads to gain the lean mass – but am really counting on the TT ABS DVD’s to help me break through in the mid-section area. I know that I’ve got a 6 pack just begging to show!

I have been doing interval training on the tread mill. 1 min as fast as my fitness level allows and then I rest till my heart rate is back to normal. I do this for 20 min. 4x aweek and I still have some of that stubourn belly fat.
I am a certified trainer and work alot with Seniors. I believe that if my Seniors had a third party showing them what I have been telling them. ( that sit ups and crunches do more harm than good)
they might put more faith in the plank, crosscrawl, sideplank, and squats than they currently do.

My question Is Can you get a sixpack without doing ab exercises?
I am not looking to win the DVDs for myself, but for my wife. Her weight is very much like a yo yo. The last time she lost weight she got down around 120lbs at 5′ 4″ this is when many people kept asking her if she was pregnant. These comments are what make her feel like crap and deviate from her eating plan and gain the weight back. I really just want her to feel as good about herself as I feel about her.

Dear Craig,
I have been working really hard alternating between TT work outs and bootcamp work outs. I have also made major changes to my diet where I eat more fruits and vegetables, loads of green tea, no processed packaged food and lots of water! When I started the program I bought a bikini that was a part of my motivation towards losing weight. As the summer and my 21st birthday are both rapidly apporoaching I would love to be able to show off my new bikini and body! However, although there have been noticable changes to my entire body, my abs dont seem to be coming through. To me its the most important part to be toned! So my question is, is it true that having carbs prevents me from having my dream abs? If thats the case I will cut down on carbs immediately! Thanks!
[Reply to this]
Good morning!
I would like to know the best way to tone my stomach, especially my lower stomach since my c-section in 2006 and also get rid of the jiggliness and fat on my thighs (inner and outer) while adjusting myself to a more conscious and healthy way of eating to prevent this from happening again. Its gross! I would love to not only get back down to 125lbs (20pounds to go)but be toned, fit and look great in the process!
It has always been extremely difficult for me to have/stick to a schedule and routine. I need an exercise program that is going to make me stick to it and want to stick to it. This added weight that has appeared is no where near as easy to get off as it was when I was in my late teens and I’m only 24, but it has definitely effected my confidence, self esteem and moral. I have hit a slump in nutrition and being proactive to a healthy lifestyle and don’t really know where to start to get the boost I need to get me back on the right track.
Thanks Craig!

#1) I am doing TT training and see my body toning up, and I know you say we don’t need to do boring/lengthy cardio…but I also know there is no such thing as Spot reducing. I know the muscles are under there, so what is the best way to get rid of the last layer of fat covering them up???
#2) As a former Fitness Instructor and current TT user, I have never been able to see my abs! My weight has gone as low as 115 and I am 5′4″ (right now I am at 125…which is really frustrating), and at no point have I ever seen my abs! The weight issue is really frustrating for me since I have been trying to lose 5 pounds for the past 18 months! And I think if I could finally see some more muscle definition in my abs, I would be okay with whatever weight I am at…knowing that the proof is in the mirror. So, that is why I want to win this! PLEASE! HA HA

What are the best abs exercises to do at home?
I need this DVD because of the nature of my job, I do shift work in a correctional facility and my schedule changes every week. It would be great to be able to have a guide or program like this so I can do my exercises regularly at any day or time of the week at home. I also have experienced lower back pains and I need to shape and strenghten my core muscles regularly.

Hi Craig,
I would love to win these DVD’s so I can prove to myself that I shouldnt give up on my belly because I’ve had 3 kids.
I often think to myself, I would be so much happier with my body if my belly was flat. It’s my number one trouble spot. I don’t mind my butt, arms, legs…..but I can complain about my belly forever.
My mom and her sister’s have the same kind of belly…so another reason I want to win the DVDs is to defy genetics.
I bought the TT system about a month ago and started about a week ago and I already feel the difference. I think you are on too something good. Exactly what I needed for my busy schedule of mom, full time worker, bus driver, cook, homework helper, shopper, etc…jejeje.
Im so glad i stumbled onto your website. THANK YOU for all your enthusiasm.

# 1 question: What works for losing that stubborn blob just under the belly button on a 50 year old woman with an otherwise toned body?
I lost 65 pounds last year in 3.5 months using TT. I had a posse of women at the gym last year following me around because they could not believe my fast results. I rave about the program across the country (I work in travel). If you give me this DVD and help me achieve my final goal of ripped abs, I will be an even bigger cheerleader of your program.

my number 1 question is:
I work with clients who look great under clothes but once those clothes are off they don’t look so good. I have several people who I am working with who just dont seem to be able to get a six pack or even some defination because they have distended stomachs (this seems to be causing more a problem than the the actual fat which we can see is being reduced). Question how do you solve the problem of a distended stomach? (when they breathe in its flat – breathe out and its a balloon!).
Why do I need the DVD?
I dont have a flat stomach myself and so I feel it doesnt give me the edge and the real motivation to my clients. If I could use the DVD and see results I’d be able to: motivate my clients with REAL visible results whilst showing them great technique first hand.
Thanks

I turned 32 today and I weighed 176 , Last year I weighed 214 on my Birthday .
I’ve been excercising since september and recently shifted to high Impact short workout and I’m loving it. Earlier I was on elliptical low impact -1hr twice a day and 1 Jillian micheals video .I have 2 kids ,so it gets better if the workouts are smaller.
Weight loss : Bigger numbers 7-8 pounds first 4 months
Jan – 5 pounds
Feb- 4 pounds
Its going down but I still don’t have a good figure and my arms are flabby, and upper body needs a lot of toning, other than that stubborn belly fat.
My question : I have always been a overweight since childhood .”Never in my life I had that good body ” . Can I really see a definition and have a hour glass figure , with a flat stomach?? I’m dying to see myself in good shape since childhood.
Also me and my neighbour have challenged ourselves for a 50 pound weightloss both down 35 now .I think I definitely need that DVD gives me that edge .

Hi Craig, first of all, thanks for all these precious advice you keep sending me. I have a very busy schedule but yet I try to find time to read them all and I must admit that much of what I read sometimes make me think twice: ” Well, well, I did not know that this exercise is not going to yield positive results! Still this is what most gyms offer as exercise to lose belly fat so as to get a flat stomach!!!
So Craig, without any ill-feelings, I would like to know which is which?
Secondly, I am someone who, due to my busy work schedule and being a 40 years old divorcee with 2 children to look after, I don’t really have much time to go out to gyms. So I try to do some exercises at home but without real success and as a result I try all sorts of diet programmes I come accross through the net and from friends. But I am not successful here again and due to having gained much weight in less than a year, most people who meet me just exclaim: My God, how fat you have grown!!! What do you eat like this? I feel so ashamed and miserable that I don’t go out unnecessarily, only when I go to work and if I can’t avoid going out somewhere or shopping! Still I admit that I try all kinds of diets while others around me just keep eating and eating and they don’t gain any weight! I just don’t know what to do to yield off those unwanted pounds! And I don’t even know(I admit after reading about how some exercises, that gyms boast of being the right one for overweight persons, are just not going to make me lose belly fat)whether going to a gym would be beneficial or a waste of money and time. So I feel if I get those DVDs and work on them seriously, I might be getting just what I should have got a long time back! Then maybe I can get back into my old clothes which I had to shut off in my wardrobe, maybe I could start going out again and lead a normal life as I always did before I gained these 15 kg. I am very miserable these days, more so because people who know me give me those dirty looks and there needs no word to make me understand better what they are thinking. Also, I feel so heavy and not fit, I can barely run and if I do I start panting so hard that I need a rest! So for a better health which is my first objective, I feel your DVDs would be a blessing!
Thanks for receiving this mail Craig.
Nice time, Devi.

1. In your opinion and programs do you believe you get the best results from body weight exercises, weighted exercises, or a combination of both. I want to know your progression from beginner to advanced.
2. I am aware of the fact that nutrition plays a major if not the most significant role in exposing visible abdominal definition. I want these DVD’s to “Know” your exact process to produce such significant results. This way I can not only implement them but do a complete review on them.
Thank you for your consideration.

How can a 56 year old man with knee replacements who is 50 lbs overweight loose the belly fat and have visible abs muscles?
I have been using The TT Intermediate program for the last month and have lost 21 lbs & a couple inches. I am very high on the TT concept & have been telling everyone at my gym, especially the trainers how effective TT is. They have there own version of “the biggest looser” program going which I did not join as it was more money to join then I had to spend. However I have made more progress then those in the program. I would love to see a TT training program offered in the gym, hey maybe I can even become the trainer, who knows.
I am using the Spin classes to blast fat by doing the TT intervals. On off days (twice a week) I am taking a aquatic cardio class.
Now, I need to continue to burn belly fat and start to form those abs muscles. This would be a great achievement as I have been struggling with weight ever since the knee operations 4 years ago. My Orthopedic Dr, Internist, and Cardiologist have all been on me to drop the weight. Higher insurance costs are being applied to overweight people. The success of this could make or break my future.
I am into this 100% and thrive on the instruction and videos that TT has provided, regardless of if I win this DVD, I want to thank TT for helping kick me into gear and for the success I’ve had so far.

1) I travel a lot for work, and I feel it’s necessary to hang with customers for late dinners and discussions at the bar. While I do a pretty good job of controlling quantities, it’s almost impossible to not indulge to some extent. Is it still possible to convert that six pack to the six pack I really want?
2) I turn 45 this year. After 5 years on this job (involving lots of travel and late-night dinners with customers), I noticed my body had turned to mush. For the past six months I’ve been working hard to pull things back together, but I can’t quite get that edge back. I could really use an additional tool to put me over the top and make me look and feel like I did 5 years ago.

I am getting leaner by doing TT style workouts but can’t even IMAGINE how WONDERFUL doing the entire program from soup to nuts would be on DVD. Like a dream come true! Im not a big dude (5′ 10” – 143 pounds) but i do workout almost every day, following instructions and advice from you as well as other personal trainers and yet my abs are no where near what i feel they should be or even could be… What do i need to do to get abs like yours!?!
2)Why do i need the DVDs? Not only do i not stand up to my standards I’m shipping off to basic training to U.S. Army Airborne Infantry soon and i want to blow away everyone there. I work hard for everything i own and i strive to be the best that i can be and i feel that in regards to my abs the only way i can be the best that i can be for myself AND my country is if i was to win these DVDs. My question is…Is it possible to have a six pack after 3 kids and the stretchmarks that come with them? I’ve always been fairly active.During high school, I was in track and field and martial arts.I even earned my black belt. Did I have 6 pack abs?…nope. I think it was due to my diet. 15 years, a wonderful marriage, and 3 kids later, I was forced to change my diet due to food allergies. I have taken all junk food and processed carbs out of my diet. (I found I am already following your 7 word diet.) I lost a fair amount of weight (I’ve always been told that I was thin and didn’t need to loose weight) and my abs are starting to peak through. However, I know that I need to add excercise not only to get the body I want, but for my health and well being. I’ve been looking into interval training for a year now and have finally found something that fits what I’m looking for. Being that I homeschool all 3 of my children. It isn’t practical for me or fair to them to drag them to the gym 3 times a week. I have tried step aerobics, pilates, and running over the past ten years to get fit and I have found that after a few months of each I am stuck in a rut, bored, and have seen no tangible results. The thing that attracts me most to your method is that it requires minimal time (which is a precious commodity to a wife/mother/ maid/teacher), minimal equipment (so I can do it in my home with what I already have), and lots of variety (to keep me from getting bored). Plus, the exercises just look plain fun! Many of them, I’ve never seen before! I have considered the possibility of the surgical “Mommy Makeover” through the years. But, I want so desperately to be able to get the body I want through natural means. I’ve changed my diet and have been eating healthy for 10 months. I feel great on the inside due to that and I have more energy than ever. I want the outside of my body to match. There’s also one other thing…..who doesn’t want to look smokin’ hot for their husband?!!!!!

I would like to know the best way to expose my abs!
I have been eating very clean, only the way nature intended, lean meats, fruits, veggies and nuts, I have been working out for the last 2 1/2 years. I have been doing research on ways to accomplish this feat. I have been trying to do full body excercises like squats deadlifts and also body excersises like wide grip pullups, decline pushups, dips and most recently I have been trying to incorporate MRT into my workouts. I feel like I am on the right path but I need to break my plateau. I am currently around 12-13% bodyfat at 37 years old and I would like to see my abs for my own personal accomplishment since I have never had them even as a child! No matter what, I am never going to give up on this, I just need the right guidance to make it all come together.

She has since then used it as an excuse to walk around looking like a stuck of MICHELLIN TYRES.

I work out three to four times per week and consider myself to be in pretty good shape for 50; however I can not seem to get the six pack to pop out and the love handles to drop. I am reading more and more about not doing situps and crunches for abs…what is the best way to get the killer abs that I desire?
My grandchildren are amazed at my general physique and always ask me to flex the pipes when they come over to visit. My teenage granddaughter says, “Grandpas aren’t supposed to be ripped” (and quite honestly it makes me feel good that they see me that way). Now she tells me that I have been the subject of discussion in her biology class at school and wants me to go with her for show and tell before the end of the year. So I need the TT for Abs DVD’s to get the abs in shape so she’s not disappointed.

Craig! your emails rock! I’ve recently started following Isabel’s Diet Solutions Program and learning how to cook healthier meals that are yummy! It’s helped and educated me a great deal. However, i do feel like without a workout plan that is perfect for me, i can’t achieve the fat loss that i want. With that said – I’ve read Isabel’s review on your program and have been very interested in it!
So i guess my question is: How does one achieve all over body fat loss without cardio? I don’t gain weight/fat in one place – it happens all over so i feel like if i do targeted workout routines i will miss places on my body and end up with toned arms and not so toned legs! Help!! Also, i don’t have a gym membership but i do have a small fitness room in my apartment community – they don’t have much equipment. What do i need to get started with your program? a mat, balance ball, free weights, etc?
Now the reason i NEED this is…. i just got engaged and i am getting married in August of this year!! I have been wanting to get in shape and lose fat for a long time but now i have a greater reason
My fiance and i would love to get into a healthier way of living via exercise and eating. This would help us out so much! My goal is NOT to lose weight just for the wedding then go back to the way i live now… i want it to be a lifelong thing, the wedding has just given me a reason to start! This is an all around necessity for me..
so… pick me!!

Thing is, I’ve done Body for Life multiple times (great program, but doesn’t really focus on abs much) and I’ve even bought ab machines!! I work out 6 days a week eating a very supportive diet. I do everything “right” but that flat stomach is ever elusive! I want to hear ‘you look like you’ve never had children’….NOT ‘you look great…FOR A MOM!!’ ARRRGH! Show me the muscles Craig and you’ll be my hero!
As a 33 year old mother of 3, I have yet to see that flat tummy I used to have when I was in my mid-twenties. I MISS IT….waaaaa!!!!

Hey Craig!
My question is: Is it really possible for everyone to get cut, defined, 6 pack abs? Bc right now I am not a believer!!!
Ive been working out hard for a long time (over 10 years). Ive cleaned up my diet (eating a lot of fruit, veggies, protein and nuts), I lift heavy, do interval training (i even do all variations of mountain climbers, rollouts, pullins, hang leg raises, plank variations, etc.). I workout 5-6 times a week. I am in very good shape but have NEVER been able to get my abs to “pop”.
I know my abs are there and are very strong (and I am not big, I wear a size 3-5 jeans, i just cant get any definition no matter how hard i try)…if I pull the skin down and flex i can see the 6 pack great! But thats dumb. If I just relax and/or flex them, they dont come through at all. I also CANNOT seem to get rid of the lower pooch. theres like a little band right under my belly button that will not go away. Frustration doesnt even begin to describe it, especially when I work so hard and am seemingly doing everything right…
WHAT CAN I DO?!?!??!?!

Is there any way to lose the belly fat after having kids??? I’ve read that one can do weighted ab exercises to add bulk to the abdominal muscles, thereby filling out the loose and wrinkly skin left over after giving birth. Is that true?
I need TT for Abs because, after having 2 children, I’ve got excess skin and fat in my abdominal area. Try as I might, I just can’t get rid of it!!! Help! I love following along with workout dvd’s, and working out with you, Craig, would be awesome!

I’m a 59 year old female who has been overweight for 20 years. I do not like to exercise and so therefore it comes very hard for me to understand pictures. I really need to lose weight and get my abs smaller than my breast. I just started yesterday and I’m not even able to get 1/4 of the reps done on any one of the beginner TTT workouts. Please, what can I do to help myself not get discouraged because I can’t do it all? Right now, I even had to hold myself with both my arm and the other hand to do the side plank. I am 5′3″ and weight 205 right now. I am also pre-diabetic and suffer with fibromyalgia, but my doctor is very encouraging to start exercise.
[Reply to this]
If body fat is what is preventing our abs from showing then is exercise the answer or is it diet. Or a combination of both. What is the MOST EFFECTIVE for finding those abs?
As a college student , procrastination is in my blood. I not only go to school everyday but also work with children each day. This is exhausting and when I get home the first thing I want to do is sit down and relax. This generally translates into reading a book and then doing some homework. The time for exercise is there but by the end of the time I have no motivation to start exercising. I have followed TT in the past for over a month, so I know I am capable of doing the program, I always end up sidetracked though. These DVDs will give me both the motivation to exercise and be a tool to prevent me from becoming sidetracked. When I all I need to do is push play for someone to lead me through what I need to do, it would be difficult not to do it. I want to lose the weight I carry around now and establish a workout routine before I become a full-time teacher with no time to do anything. Once you condition yourself to do something, it becomes easier to do and that is how exercise is. Once you begin a program, it is much easier to continue that it was to start the program.

I want to know what is the most effective workout for Abs. I have done crunches, reverse crunchs, planks, and side planks and I don’t see any improvement in my ab area.
I turned 40 last year and although I don’t look it, my body needs some definite shaping. I purposed to begin working out and for the first time in my life, I have a regular routine and I enjoy it. I am having some health issues and my doctor advised me in Jan. to lose 35 pounds. I have lost 12 already, so I am making strides. I am unhappy with my stomach, although it is decreasing. I think TT for Abs will help me get a more defined looking abs.

Hi Craig,
First of all, I have to tell you that I love your workouts, I used to used them while working out at the gym with a trainer while recovering from a tear in my acl, thanks to your workouts I was able to gain enough muscle to support my knee without having to have surgery to repair the torn acl. I now work out at home as I am very sensitive tot he harsh chemicals that my gym used to clean the equipment while people were working out and breathing hard (pretty scary).
My number one question about getting flat abs is two part, how often to work the abs, and what nutrition advice is most important in order to become lean enough to see those abs I work so hard to create.
I am a 46 year old single women living alone for the first time in 19 years(my son just left the nest to go to University). My confidence has plummeted and my goal is to be hotter at 50 then I was at 40, or maybe even 30, I am willing to work hard to prove that it is possible so that when my son comes home he sees a strong, fit self reliant mother like he used to have. I think your new DVD is the perfect solution to meet my goals.
Thanks
Karen

My question is – I exercise 7 days a week and see a difference in my arms and legs but as I’ve gotten older my abs look terrible. I know a lot of this has to do with diet and I am trying to eat as cleanly as possible. Is it better for me to cut back on cardio and focus on ab specific training or up the intensity of my cardio? I currently do one hour a day of steady state or light interval cardio.
Why do I need this DVD Series:
I’m a busy single mom who lost her husband 11 years ago after a long fight with cancer. Exercise is what kept me sane during his illness and afterward. I work out seven days a week and when I was younger this kept me in good shape, but lately I am less than thrilled with what I see. Working two jobs, I am stressed, and I know my cortisol levels must be high which can effect belly fat. I want to feel good about my body again, but I have no time to attend a gym, my workouts take place at home at 5:00 am. It’s hard to get psyched up at that time and a new program will inspire me. I’m OK with the rest of my body but my abs need work.
I used to date alot but after some very difficult breakups I put my dating life on hold to raise my child. He is now graduating high school at the top of his class and attending a fantastic college. It’s time for his mom to get her “mojo” back and I want to feel good about myself. I would love to have these DVDS so I can feel really good about myself. I know this will have a positive impact on my relationships.
[Reply to this]
Hey Craig,
I BELIEVE you want me to have the set as you KNOW I am a cancer warrior who has fought my way to health from treatment, still battling cortisol issues with stress. I also now have a CAST to done my wardrobe and I REALLY, REALLY want this DVD.
My question: Right now how can I succeed without it??

I need a plan that works for me!
I just can’t seem to get the belly fat off. I started at 194lbs in summer of 2008 and had dropped to the mid 160’s by winter…I started running about 5 miles a day and eventually dropped to a flabby 147 with no muscle tone at all (except for my calves).
I increased my calorie intake and started doing resistance training. Now I am a flabby 160 with decent biceps. I can feel my abs under my belly when I lay down…I know they are there…but will they ever see the light of day?
I have a stack of different dvds from different infomercials and I go to the gym 5 to 6 times a week…I’ve gotten to the point where I almost feel discouraged as my friends go out and have fun at restaurants and bars and I have to sit it out in fear of sabotaging my workouts, with little results to show for my sacrifice.
I need a plan that will work for me and make the effort and sacrifice worth it and hopefully the TT DVD’s will be a step in the right direction.

HI, my question is how do I loose the last not pounds, but the last amount of fat around my abs for my 6 pack to be visible.I do have the abs but they are hidding under a small amount of fat.I”ve tried everything from reduce calories, interval trainning, resistance trainning, high carb low carb diets and all that happens is I get very lean but still have that small little tummy fat. I am a male at 5′10″ weighing a 240 lbs 8 years ago and now my peak in the summer is 155lbs and in the winter I weigh 167lbs. Now I”m thinking I”m in a plateau and need something different to shock my system into fat burning mode.I think you dvds will offer that.I also believe the saying that abs are made in the kitchen not in the gym is so true ,so your nutrition book will be a great help in me achieving my 6 pack goal.

My question: I have a small umbilicial hernia and I am always worried about what exercises are safe for me to do and what not?
Why I need it? I’ve always been in good shape, but ever since the hernia my exercise program has fallen by the wayside, as I am frightened of doing anything to worsen it, I’ve joined a gym 4 days a week where there are trainers etc. but they all seem to be cardio oriented, and dont know much about TT etc. I need to find a balance where I use your methods on the days I dont go to the gym.

My question: It’s easy for men to get six pack abs because they do not have their bellies stretched out for 4-6 months to have children. As a mother of 2 kids, (and every other mother in the world)who has had their bellies stretched to seemingly beyond capacity many times over, will we ever really see our abs again without having a tummy tuck?
I’m dedicated to Turbulence Training and yes, I have seen much improvement overall from the workouts and eating correctly etc. However, I seem to be stuck and I’m thinking is that all there is?
I do not need the DVD videos; I want the DVD videos to give me hope that I won’t have to go under the knife just to obtain great abs again.

I see people all the time who seem to have fat only around their middle section (stomach). Why is it that fat always seems to go to that spot on most people?
I need these videos because I finally got my husband to go on a diet (260 lbs) and he is doing well but his fat is all concentrated in his belly. He just asked my why his belly is so big??????

My #1 question is whether it’s better to do specific abs workouts or best to incorporate them into other training. Can I get the same results if I do ab sets in between my sets of lifting, squatting, pull-ups, etc.? I’m after efficiency and results – I can’t spend hours a day training and with your programs, I know I don’t have to but would doing separate abs workouts yield greater results? .
I’ve used your TT program as the catalyst to whip my 46-year old body into shape. I’m more than halfway to my goals, but the midsection is the definite caboose on my fitness train. My diet is dramatically improved, my upper body has real definition and I’m no longer in any danger of being fitted for a man-bra. But at 6′4″ and 185 lbs., I’m too thin yet I still retain excess around the middle that hangs around like the last lingering guest who doesn’t want to go home. I’ve redoubled my efforts, am eliminating some remaining saboteurs from my diet, I’m starting to crush my intervals (2 minutes high, 1 minute low for 20 or 25 minutes at a time) and feel stronger and more confident week by week.
I need your TT for Abs to have that missing component that kicks my butt into doing what I know needs to be done to get to a 6-pack by 47. I travel constantly for work and bringing my trainer with me so I can work out in my hotel room and push through the last barrier to going shirtless this summer? That would be huge and would eliminate any excuses that the road keeps me from my goals. My life-long fitness dream is to be comfortable in public in a pair of jeans and no shirt. TT for Abs can help me get the midsection necessary to do that. TT itself is helping me add on the 10 lbs of muscle and definition that is my goal.

Hiya Craig,
How do I get a fabulous tight abdomen worthy of a fitness model?
I have lost 24 pounds and have become a ‘fat skinny’. The remaining poundage is stubbornly clinging to my abdomen, which I lovingly called my “Chris pouch” after having my son. However, it’s got to go as I would like to wear a bikini this summer after many years of fatty swimsuits.
I am currently following the TT for Fat Loss and seeing results even after only 5 weeks. If you be so kind as to gift me with your DVD I will work hard and make you proud.
Thankyou, Jenni

Craig, how do I get rid of the lower belly baby pooch?
I’ve been enjoying a great life as mom of 6 and a bakery owner. Now I’m working to get in pre-baby/dessert shape but the baby pooch just won’t disappear. Reading your blog entries and emails, it occurred to me that I could work faster and more efficiently if I had a better way to time myself. Your DVD’s would provide this measure plus a sense of discipline to my workouts.

Craig,
1. How can a fit guy lose the stubborn “little loves”? I have followed your guidance and I cannot remember the lat time I did a traditional sit up or crunch. However, on the sides, I have the “little lumps” that need to disappear.
2. I believe your TT Abs will help as your TT program has helped me stay fit without having to get to the gym. With a beautiful wife and three kids, time is precious and more short workouts would be a blessing.

We are a group of 4 girls anywhere from 25 to 50 years old. We love to work out together but have different weaknesses and strengths when it comes to our abs. It is a challenge to put together a program that helps all of us in the same workout. We would love a winning ab program for all 4 of us that we could share with our other girlfriends later.

HI Craig,
The question I have is, Do you need to be working your back muscles equally to make sure you have equal strength to support your abs?
The reason I would like to win the DVD series:
I have slowly started gaining fat around my mid section, and as I get older I find I gain weight easier and it seems much harder to lose the weight. I would really like to be focused on what would work for me with my body type and be able to get my middle off, I want to be able to be healthy and active to enjoy the time with my husband now that the kids are grown.

#1 question about getting a flat stomach and six pack abs OR how to lose belly fat.
How can someone who is already maintaining a healthy diet and using the principles put forward in the TT training programs burst through a plateau and smash through that last layer of fat covering their 6-pack?
Why you need the TT for Abs DVDs….Craig, I simply HAVE TO have this DVD in order to get utterly ripped so that I look amazing naked and drive my girlfriend insane with lust!

Dear Craig,
Question #1. It appears that specific hormones play a role in retention of body fat. Tell me what hormones affect men/women in the various body fat areas (i.e. belly fat, love handles, chest fat etc. ) and what you recommend to balance these hormonal levels in terms of exercises and nutrition.
#2 I need your TT for Abs program. I have been fighting with my weight for most of my life. I am a very active 40yo man with four little chidren. I just need to get in better shape, better health and look better than I do at the moment. I need to get into better shape and health for my children. I believe the advice and guidance from your program will help me accomplish the goals of being healthier and looking better for my family.

I love the blog you have set up! As a personal trainer, I am faced with MANY different problems in getting rid of belly fat, as each client seems to have a different issue. I feel comfortable helping MOST of their problems, except women and menopause! The change in hormonal composition seems to deposit fat in the belly, despite a great exercise and nutritional plan. HELP! I have tried interval training, increasing overall weight load, changing nutritional intake and I don’t feel like I have hit on the exact formula. I am sure that the DVD collection could put me on the right track to really helping these women achieve their goals.
There is nothing more frustrating as a health professional, than to feel as if you are not able to help. I really want to be able to help ALL of my clients reach their full potential. Please help me do that!!!!
Thank you in advance and Thanks for Helping All of Us to Live Healthy…

2) I think that your TT Abs will allow me get more of the cuts I need and the shorter workouts are awesome. In addition to a full time job, I volunteer on 2 boards, help train others at my gym, and take care of mom and dad..so thank so much!

At 46 and w/ a frame at 120 lbs, I dont really need to loose weight, but I absolutely DO have too much fat around my middle. I have always been “thin”, but I seem to have always held on to too much flab around the middle. With my age creeping up, the flabbier it gets. I need to know the best way to maximize loss of those pesky inches of fat that are covering the muscles I KNOW are behind them – my core is pretty strong and I can FEEL them – I just cant see them! I do pilates, yoga and a yoga “bootcamp” w/ weights M, W & F. I also follow ESE once a week. Help!

My question is this: I’m a mom, looking after 2 kids at home. I weigh all of 105 lbs, but can not seem to lose the belly fat no matter what I do (I’ve got 4 inches on my waist that just won’t budge!). When I decrease calories a bit (100-200 cal/day deficit) and do strength training, my body seems to lose muscle mass in other areas to fuel the new muscle growth. so I’m losing muscle to gain muscle. How do I lose the fat without losing the muscle?
I’d love the DVD’s so I can model for my kids what good stewardship over your body looks like. Their generation will have a more difficult time with obesity than any before them!

1. What do I do when I’ve done everything that should be done and still can’t get 6-pack abs? I’m female, 31, and a former athlete. I do weight training, body weight training, and cardio 5 days a week. I play sports 3 times a week. I eat extremely well (nothing processed), log everything I eat, and have calculated appropriate macronutrient intakes. Last summer, I was 10% body fat (5′11, 115lbs). Still, no 6-pack abs. I changed gears this year and attempted to put on a lot more muscle. I’m now 15lbs heavier (but unfortunately my body fat went up to 14% in the process). I don’t know where I’m going wrong. So my number 1 question is, what do I do when I’ve done everything that should be done and still can’t get 6-pack abs?
2. I need this DVD, because I am starting to lose my motivation. It seems like I’m trying to reach an unattainable goal at this point and need your guidance and expertise to set me straight. I’m willing to be a guinea pig and send before and after pictures. More to the point, most of these before pictures show people terribly out of shape. Any change in those situations is impressive. But I think there are a lot of people like me out there, who are already in great shape but need to take it that one step further to get in amazing shape. If you can get me 6-pack abs–someone who has tried everything–then you deserve all the praise in the world. And I will sing those praises forever more…

I just gave birth to my beautiful son in October. I have since lost most, if not all my pregnancy weight. Now I would like to lose this loose lower abdominal skin that I have left staring at me in the mirror every time I look at myself!! Are there any particular exercises that I can do to get a flatter than ever post pregnancy stomach?
I read your blogs and emails daily! My husband is seeing great success with his TT transformation and is loving your workouts. I am inspired by his dedication and his transformation. I am still nursing and haven’t been to the gym since I was 3 months pregnant. Your DVD package, especially the 15 minute express workout, would be great for me…a new mom that doesn’t have tones of time on her hands just yet, and can’t make it to the gym for her workouts, but wants to look and feel great, even better than before her pregnancy! Oh ya and bikini season is upon us and I would love to have a sleek looking stomach!!
Thanks for the opportunity.

1. My number one question is: What is the best style of core/ab training that is best for increasing functional core/ab strength?
2. Why I need TT for abs DVD. I am a competitive 3 event waterskier and I am very close to obtaining my OPEN rating (OPEN is the Pro division). I have always dreamed of skiing on the pro tour and core/ab strength is essential for water skiing. I am on an intense training schedule, 3 workouts per day 4 days on 1 day off, many of my workouts are TT style workouts. I believe your DVDs will help give me that edge to achieve my dream this summer.

1. How do I lose the lower abdominal “pouch?” This has been a problem since I had my children. I have muscle under the stubborn fat, but cannot see it for all of the “jiggly.” There must be a way to lose those stubborn few layers of fat in the lower abs.
2. I would love to have the TT for Abs DVDs, because I like to work out from my own home without all of the costly equipment. I also workout early in the morning before my day begins, and I think that the DVDs will give me that flexibility of not having to go to the gym. I am really trying to get to reach a good fitness level with using bodyweight exercises. I have been spending a lot of time researching different programs online, and this would be a great way to see if I like this program.

1) Ok, my question is, how do I get my nice flat pre-giving-birth-to-twins belly back? My abs don’t look bad at all right now, but I had some ab separation after giving birth and although the separation has mostly closed up from me doing LOTS of ab work for the past few months, but my abs still aren’t totally flat like they used to be. They still bow out a little. Is there any way to flatten them out again?
2) I need this DVD because I’ve tried just about everything to get my abs back into shape after having the twins. I’m very fit and my abs look fine, but they don’t look the SAME as they did before giving birth. They may never look the same, but I’m out of ideas…

I am now 61 year old . too difficult exercises is out for me. I used to have fast walking for 4 to 5 KM a day at least 5 times a week. This take about 45 minutes for each walk. but the exercise is only making me sweat not losing weight.
I need to loss come weight . This will make my sight seeing traveling more enjoyable. I am 1675mm weighing 77 kg.
By following the tt principle I try spring 8 program at level 9, 3 to 4 time a week. I lose about 1 kg in a month. The stomach is also reduced by 1″.
Will your tt program help? Will it be too tough for a 61years old ?

1. I consistently work out jogging and ab circuits. I couldn’t figure out why my stomach kept getting bigger. After a lot of research I’ve realized I’ve built muscle under my fat which is only pushing my fat out not burning it, making me look worse not better…so my question is now what? How do I burn the fat and go back to my flat abs like I had before my 4 kids!
2. I am a busy mom of four kids. I run my own business. It is overwhelming to me to have to come up with my own workouts. If I had DVD’s from you, whom I’ve grown to trust and respect through the recommendation of my cousin and your emails, it would be motivating and hopeful to be able to use this every morning confident that I will get the results that I’m looking for, without the guilt of thinking I should be doing more, and the mental fatigue of having one more thing to figure out and make happen. Hi Craig,
Here is my situation. I am disabled. My AB section has been split open from breastbone to just above the pubic area. This has been done several times, from loos of a spleen in a car accident, to several other times to do hernia repairs, as a result of the spleen removal. I now have nylon mesh, some places 3 layers deep in my abdomiunal area. I also have a Santa Claus belly due to having to take Prednisone on a daily basis.
My question is, would this program be of any real help to me as I am also limited physcally as well due to having a artificial hip in the right leg, artifificial knee in the left leg, both of which are now coming loose, but not serious enough yet for surgery, and a back that has 3 vertabrae fused. Do you think this could help someone in my situation?
Sincerely,
Randy

1. I try to do the TT workouts three times a week and then follow up with interval training. Will doing these workouts more often help me lose belly fat or should I stick to doing it three times? Also, is there a short(ish) workout I can do before going to bed that will help. I always like to do a little something before I sleep, but I like to get the most bang for my buck, too.
2. I have lost about 70 lbs in the last 2 years. I still have plenty to go, and my belly is still there–it is definitely one of my problem areas. The TT workouts I have have been great for me and I have loved using them, but hopefully the new Ab system would help me reach my goal of losing 50 more lbs and getting rid of “the belly”.
P.S. Thanks so much for putting these workouts out there. I was working with a trainer who convinced me to stop interval training and just start putting in an hour a day on the cardio machines. After I read your stuff, I went back to doing what I knew was right and really started to make progress!

Craig, my question concerning abs work are straight forward. Can you over exercise your core? And second, what is a good routine to use to maintain once an abs level has been achieved?
Why I need the workouts? Since writing you a year or so ago about working out in the hospital while my special needs son was having surgery, I have follow your exercises and ideas. I have dropped 51 pounds and feel much better. I had my own TT weight loss contest. I do not have access to a gym, and need to modify my routines.
At 55 years old this year, it is coming together. I need some help to break a plateau and create a body that will allow me to take care of my son for years to come.
Thank you

Hey Craig,
My main question is regarding using weights for abs. I never really have, mostly your typical ab exercises. Since I have never really developed my abs well, just a 4 pack, would adding weighted exercises help develop the 6 pack? Obviously there is still some dietary work to do to remove the fat.
As for the program, I certainly feel I could use it. I am relatively lean, always have been. I tend to have a pretty clean diet, I workout using your programs and other athletic driven exercises, however, I have never been able to get to the 6 pack I desire. To make things worse, being skinny, with definition in every spot but my lower abs, gives my body a strange skinny pear like shape. This has been the missing link for me, if I could get rid of that fat in that area, I would be tremendously pleased with my body. Looking forward to your program.
All the best,
Gary

1. What does it take to keep up your abs? When I go on vacation or take time off of exercise it always take me a long time to get my abs back up to where they were previously. It seems like it my abs lose their tone and strengthen quickly. I can’t seem to figure out a way to scale back without destroying all my hard work.
2. I need the DVDs because I live in China and it’s hard to find anything in English. I also can’t find a local trainer to help me. When I worked with a trainer before I was able to keep my tone up and my weight down. Now it’s a struggle. DVDs help me to stay focused and keep in shape!

I’m 5′4′. I’m apple shape. I know I have abs under this subcuteaneous layer and they are relatively strong. I don’t know if being 55 has anything to do with it but even when I lose weight I still have the abdominal fat covering these great abs! I’m a personal trainer in pretty good shape except for the extra layer. What else can I do?
Having the TT DVD would help me assist some of y lady members who also have the same problem and are of the same age group. We all need your inspiration!

As an almost-43 year old woman with 4 kids, I would LOVE these videos to help me to look like a HOT woman who just happens to have 4 kids! I also work full-time so my “spare time” is minimal. My biggest question is – how do I combine ab work with fun, fat-burning exercises to tone my abs & entire body while improving my over-all fitness?
[Reply to this]
Hi Craig,
I’m a 42 year old woman trying to get in the best shape of my life. I can’t seem to get rid of the bottom pooch in my abs. I can see definition starting in my upper abs and I finally have a waist again after losing 20 lbs, but is there a way to ever flatten the lower abs?
I need the DVD’s to help get this body where it should be. I’ve been patient with the weight loss, eating 6 small meals, and exercising religiously 5-6 days a week, but I truly believe the extra guidance from you can get me to my ultimate body goal of a flat belly. Whether I win it or have to order it, I’m excited to see what workouts you have in store for me on the DVDs.
Thanks for your consideration,
Kristen

My #1 question for achieving flat abs is how do you get rid of the lower pouch fat? I have tight upper abs but still have a small pocket of fat that makes pants fit wrong and sitting sometimes uncomfortable.
I always had very tight abs as a competitive and college swimmer, hundred of flipturns a day will do that for you. Receiving the TT DVD would help me reach a very personal goal of feeling like no physical activity was out of my reach!
[Reply to this]
1. I’ve been working out for well over a year, but I still have this little patch of flab that clings to my lower belly. I think it first appeared when I was about 12, and I’m 37 now, so I can understand if it doesn’t want to go away without a fight – but I’ve managed to lose fat just about everywhere else. I’d like to know whether getting rid of that last “problem area” is just a matter of time, or if I can speed up the process!
2. I would love to win the DVDs becaue I’ve been unemployed for a year and had to quit my gym membership due to financial hardship. I’ve kept up a strong workout routine at home, nevertheless, thanks in part to the TT e-mails! It’s hard to remember what all the excercises are, though, and how to do them, just from reading. Being able to watch and follow a routine would make them all the more effective for me!

Hi, Craig:
I am almost 56 years old, female, and I have been fairly active most of my life playing various sports and getting trapped in the “gym” thing that was so popular during the 80’s.
I have purchased your TT workout manuals. I take the time to read your Turbulence Trainer Newsletter and view your You Tube Workouts and I try to maintain the schedule you prescribe to achieve the best results. I have even begun Isabel De Los Rios’s Diet Solution. Unfortunately, I still have that belly pouch of fat that doesn’t want to budge!
I would very much like to win your DVD set as I am a visual learner and I have always found it easier to follow along with an instructor. Having someone guide me through the routines is also like having support in the room with me! Thanks for the positive attitude and inspiration.

I am 46, a fitness professional who lost 60 lbs back in 2003-2004, and have managed to maintain it since then, but the only area I have not be able to maintain is my middle section, it use to be easy to maintain but now, it seem to get harder as I get older. What I want to know, is age a factor (especially for women), when it comes to the middle section? What is the ratio of food to exercise that we need to support ab toning?
And I would love the TT Abs DVD, not only will it enhance my own training, and give me some support in maintaining my middle section, but it will help me support my clients.
Thanks

I’m 44 years old and have the dreaded belly pooch as well as loose skin. Diet is and has always been a trouble spot for me. I find it hard to give up sugar all together even though my diet has changed for the better these last few years. I’ve added more fruit and vegetables to my clean eating. I lack motivation and knowledge on what to do for my abs. At my age it’s harder and harder to find the time and energy to workout and left to my own devices it just ain’t gonna happen!
You have a great passion for what you do and fitness is your passion. I know that what you say and teach is possible for us mere mortals to do. I need an expert in the field with a proven history of what works and what doesn’t work for fatloss and muscle gain. I believe that it’s you. I want the DVD’s because I’m one step away from just giving up the gym and giving into age and time.
Thanks for considering me!!!!

QUESTION. I can see my abs, and feel them, but in behind them still lies my fat. I read this is the dangerous fat. The best thing so far I found to work was cycling with intervals four days a week. There has got be be a better way. Each ride was 1.5-2 hours long.
I need the TT for Abs DVD to get me through my above problem. I’d like to be wash boardish by summer.
HELP ME RONDA, oops I MEAN CRAIG.

1. my fat loss abbs question: simply put – diet is key but so complex to get right – a table template for each body weight that can be slightly altered to achieve an ideal diet would be fantastic. e.g 140lbs man = this, 160 lbs man needs = this etc.
2. i guess i am wanting your dvds to compare , try out and see how good of a results i can get! i train well already in a gym, but now its closed so trying home workouts. I have not tried much home training and would like to see how it compares!!!
[Reply to this]
Question on abs: You mentioned in a recent email that interval training can be used to spot reduce abdominal fat. Can you give some ideas on some of the ideal ratios for these sessions (rest/slow rate vs. hard/fast rate) and the amount of interval rounds we should be doing? And are there any periodization type issues when it comes to interval training like we might do with resistance training?
Why I need abs workout: I really want to work on intensity and density of my workouts to get the metabolic effect to a higher level. I’m hoping the TT abs DVDs have the routines that will help get to a newer level of workout. Thanks! Shawn
[Reply to this]
#1- I know this would tecnically be considered spot reducing, but can I lower my body fat percentage and lose my gut w/o losing weight? I’m 5′10″ and only 148 pounds so I don’t want to lose weight. I’m at 15% body fat and it’s basically my gut. I’d love to actually put on weight if it’s just muscle, but I’ll settle for just getting a flat stomach.
#2- Probably nothing you haven’t heard a million times. I’m 35, married with two kids, and work full-time. So, my workout time is fairly limited. I do weights three times a week and cardio two times, but I want something to help me get rid of this belly fat.
Thanks.
[Reply to this]
Question-how often should you work your ab muscles through core exercising? Three times a week? Every day?
I am actually currently working on your tt for abs program and it would be great to have a video to follow at home, especially when I have already been to the gym that day , the videos would allow me to do a second quick workout before dinner or after dinner–it would be so much more convienent than going back to the gym. And definately more helpful to see you doing everything with the correct form. For instance, when I’m doing ab rollouts, or wood choppers, etc, I’m not 100% sure if I have the right form or not. So this DVD would be great for me.
Thanks

#1 – I turn 50 this year and have been working on getting back my body for 3 years now. Am I running out of time to achieve my goal of six-pack abs?
#2 – I have information overload. I am always reading up and downloading information on trying to get lean and uncovering my abs and don’t know which way to turn. Many of the blogs I read (Joel Marion,Vince del Monte, Isabel del Rios to name a few) speak very highly of you and your method of training. I need a clear cut path to acheive my goals and you seem to be a no non-sense guy. Beside that my wife is starting to get upset about how much $ on spending on books, dvd’s, e-books etc.:)

Dear Craig
The main reason to win these DVD’s are:
They will not be wasted, as if they were miracle pills, magic devices or something wonderful to eliminate excess weight and abdominal fat would be like Aladdin’s lamp and these evils did not exist on the face of the earth.
Only the commitment itself, have a defined goal, can help you get up the mountain and reach the top. So after having these DVD’s in my hands the goal is to religiously follow these routines.
I am 43 years and after dealing at length with low self-esteem by not looking like Cindy Craford, I’ve learned to accept my body but myself to say I’m fat now, I like to do if you can call, walking turbulent, practical turbulent training, I’m not good at team sports, so I train alone.
Working from 8am to 7pm, so I train in the morning and at night, so the DVD, S in my house are a great option.
Finally the truth is what I see alone with my mirror and I know I still have a lot of abdominal fat to remove, but with effort and perseverance, I can delete.
THANKS

I would like to win the TT for Abs DVD because I am want more innovative ways to try and produce/show the abs in my upper section. It seems I only loose fat in my lower abs, which I think is opposite of what is supposed to happen. I need some more hardcore training that will assist me in reaching my goals. No question, just a statement…help me! Thanks.

2= its handy to put on a dvd in your home

My #1 question is will doing exercises in bits and bites instead together in a group be effective. I am a stay at home mom with an active toddler, and sometimes finding 20 minutes in a row is quite a challenge. Passing the 40 mark makes the toning challenge all the greater.
I need the TT for Abs DVD to do something for me, that doesn’t involve crayons, trains or throwing all the pillows off the couch! (You don’t do that in the DVD do you?)

I’m getting the DVD workouts any way so my most pressing question is
What is your hydration strategy?
Are you not supposed to drink too much water at once?
Not with meals?
Can you put lemon and cayenne and vitamin C but not sweeteners like honey?
Thanks for making the DVDs – it’s going to make my life a lot easier.

1. Why is it that I can’t seem to lose the belly fat? No matter what I do, it’s still there! UGLY, UGLY, UGLY BELLY FAT! I recently lost 33 lbs, I’ve gone from a size 12 to a size 2-4…..my arms are good, my legs are good, but that belly just won’t leave! I’m almost 47 now, and my chance to “break out” in a bikini is slipping away…cuz let’s face it, who wants to see an “older gal” in a bikini???
2. I would LOVE to win this DVD set…..I have been getting your e-mails for almost a year now and your tips and workouts are the BOMB! It seems like I never have the extra money to purchase something like this for myself so I would GREATLY APPRECIATE your gift!

Life gets too complicated when I try to do a little of each bit of advice I find, i.e. diet: decrease carbs or sugar or fat, eat raw, food combining, eat-stop-eat, or excercise: walking/jogging, crunches, obliques, TT, interval training, etc. I understand women around this age put on dangerous fat around the organs in the belly – increasing chances of many serious health problems. I am into my mid 40’s and my middle is getting bigger by the minute! And my tone allover has totally disappeared in the last 2 years.
So my (bellyfat) question is…if you could tell me ONE thing (or the first thing) to concentrate on for having a healthy midsection, what would it be? For me, other healthy habits will follow because I know they’re all important.
The reason I have to have the TT DVD is because I have a hard time figuring out how to do the excercises correctly. I can feel when I am not doing it right and easily give up. A DVD would ensure me that I can get it right, then I know I won’t give up. We have a membership at a fancy club, but trying to figure out how to do the excercises is WAY too embarassing.
Thank you so much for all your e-mail advice!
Sincerely yours,
Jo

I know that how you look is 80% nutrition, so what I want to know is what are the best and worst foods to eat to get rid of belly fat.
And the reason I need these DVDs is that I have very little spare time and sometimes getting to the gym just won’t work, so these DVDs would let me work out effectively at home. I’ve been doing well in my routine so far, but this would also help me kick things up a notch!

My #1 question has to do more about turning the tide than it does for personal ab development. With all the excellent info available at the tip of the finger; What is the best way to get the old school approach to ab development to understand and try the new and proven way? Even when I put them thru a TT Abs Circuit, they are like, “I need to do more crunches”
I definately need the DVD to show our members the absolute proven method. I need the the visual to support the words we preach.

you have encouraged me to follow my goals now to become a CPT. I love TT and really want to model the type of training I do after you and TT to really help people achieve their goals like you have helped me. I really want this DVD set to help bring me to the next level and have a coach to show me exactly how to move forward and a way to demo the exercises for me while being a mentor and motivator. I want to know how how to lose this stubborn last bit of fat to see my abs and obtain the goal of a six pack at 46 years old. What is the right way to go after it to burn the belly fat and share this with others to turn them onto TT.
[Reply to this]
1. In terms of maintaining the chiseled set of six-pack abs, how accurate is it to do sprints, bleacher runs, and planks as opposed to the quintessential crunches, leg raises, and sit ups, and how do we sell this idea to our youth and their parents in today’s society?
2. My desire to attain the peak level of fitness and conditioning stems from the desire to be all that I can be (and yes, I am an Army veteran). This desire is strengthened by the knowledge that my children are witnesses to my level of activity and/or inactivity, therefore I must do all that I can to be the example for my children, nieces, nephews, neighbor’s kids, students in my classroom, co-workers, and fellow community. The same way you would not ask a janitor with 30 years on the job about investing advice and the stock market, you would not ask an obese coach or teacher about successful weight loss strategies and weight management. Bottom line: We need to lead by example and lead from the front.

My question is: in 2003 I had breast cancer. I chose the tram flap (docs take 1 side of the rectus abdominis and funnel it to the opposite side and make a breast) in hopes of getting a tummy tuck. Didn’t happen as I expected. Now when I try to do abs or use what I have left in any way the pain in my lower back on the side that still has my rectus muscle becomes intolerable. The plastic surgeon told me the fat is not on top of the muscle but behind it. My stomach stay pretty large all the time and so far have found nothing to help with trying to train my abs. I feel I deserve the DVD for abs because I really need help in figuring out what will work and what doesn’t. If it is altogether in one format it would help me tremendously in working toward ridding myself of the fat and help to flatten the side with the abdominal muscle I have left. Thanks.

Question: What specific exercises/frequency for overall ab conditioning is the most superior for quickest abs conditioning?
The reason why I would love to get my hands on the TT DVDs is to wipe the arrogant grin off my 10 year olds face after he made that comment that his 38 year old dad will never see his midsection ripped! He’s challenged me this year to make it happen. And this is something I am struggling with for it to happen. Very difficult to understand also all the conflicting nutritional advice and information as well. If someone could just show a complete body and day approach to make this happen (EXACTLY spelled OUT), I think people would have some success with this.

Reason why I want the DVD’s: I’ve always had issues with weight gain in the stomach area and haven’t not found the magic bullet to get rid of it. My ab question comes from a comment I overheard a trainer tell a woman at my gym. “Don’t use weight while doing side bents! It will make your waist wide! Is there any truth to this?
I need the TT ab dvds because in short, I have bad genetics. I come from a family of smokers, diabetics, alcoholics, manic depressives, and just plain “I don’t care.” I’ve been blessed with the motivation and dedication to not smoke, not drink, and graduate with a bachelors. And as far as I know, i’m not crazy.
There was a time where my diet was flawless and my gym routine was “hardcore” but I still had a budda belly. Frustrated at this, I since then staggered off the healthy path and being trying to get back on since.

My answer to both questions is the same: How to successfully address the significant change in fat that occurred with menopause. I’ve always had the same slim body, and, whenever I gained weight – primarily on the belly, and usually related to a lifestyle change – I could easily lose it. With menopause, I suddenly gained substantial fat not only on my belly, but also around my waist and on my behind – not only a significantly different distribution than what I’d experienced in the past, but also without any change to my normal healthy habits, including an excellent diet (vegan, mostly gluten-free, limited alcohol, rare sugar, caffeine-free, no triple-p [processed, packaged, prepared], and mostly veg, nuts, grain, seeds, e.g.). This has rendered an upsetting change to my body image of the past 50 years, as well as a disturbing contrast to my ongoing committed healthy lifestyle. I would love to try the dvds, as I clearly need a new approach to this unfamiliar change, and to improve my troubled self-image. I would happily provide before & after pix!, to document effectiveness with this particular fat challenge, which would be of great benefit for many women of my age. There are many deserving comments above, especially those facing medical challenges, and I wish you the best in determining the winners, of which I would be most pleased to be one! Thank you for your consideration.

My question is, aged in the 50’s I have limited amount of time to train and have used the samples you have provided to great enjoyment, the problem I have is that despite excercising adequatly the top have of my belly does not seem to ‘deflate’ and makes my whole belly look inflated and over weight when in effect I am quite trim.
The reason why I need the TT for Abs programe is that my appetite has been ‘whet’ y your samples, both my partner and I only work part time so money is scarce in our household, that it is time effieicient (I coach sporting teams and support my children in their sports)and I enjoy the different challenges you provide, some of which I ‘transpose’ at various stages into the sporting teams.

I can’t seem to win. I have been following various other DVD programs as well as a strict 4 day split weight routine and HIIT sessions to get back into shape after having had the last of my 3 babies in the last 3 years just this past October, and while most of me is starting to see progress and the weights are increasing nicely, I can’t lose the tummy that the 3 babies have stretched me out with. I used to have a fairly flat stomach even with 25 extra pounds, but I certainly can’t lose the roll this time round. So maybe the TT abs program will be the one that works for me!

My question is, in one of the emails I received, you talked about egg yolk containing cholesterol being good for you. I cannot believe this. I was wondering, are there any other foods that contain this?
As a girl who is in her mid teens, I realise that I am now coming to that age where if I don’t lose the weight now, it will haunt me. With diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer and strokes having a big history in my family, it worries me every time I step on the scales and realise that I weigh 115kg, not POUNDS but KILOS!!! So this means that I weigh just under 300 pounds!!! The last piece was pulled when I was sent to the hospital with muscular chestpain but the doctor had a problem scanning me because I had too much fat.
I’ve had enough. My body cannot possibly take anymore.I’m sick of being embarrassed when I go shopping with friends and cannot try on clothes at a regular shop and even worse when they feel sorry for me and take me to an XXL shop.

#1 question about abs regards quantity/time. Is it a matter of feeling “the burn” long enough or is it more about style/technique? So, are there really some ab exercises that are quick and more effective than doing hundreds of crunches (for example)?

I am doing sit-ups every day and my abs are getting harder but I am clerical worker so my core has never been tha strong, I go to the gym at least three times a week and I am so distressed that I am even considering liposuction as excercise seems to be so dishearten as I losing fat from the wrong place I am a slim european size ten but my stomach is like a little pouch and I havent even got children yet, I am 28 years of age and would like to achieve a flatter stomach by myself without having to resort to surgery but I might have to still consider it if i havent got it flattened by the age of 30.Thanks for your time and best of luck to everybody, cheers!!!!!!!!

My #1 question for achieving flat abs is: what do I do now, I changed my diet to the max, I never liked sugary foods or even junk food, so it was hard . I am 46 YO 200 lbs 5′9″. I eat about 1200 to 1500 cal a day. is it too much, not enough, I heard that my cal should be spread like 50% protein, 30% carbs, 20 % fat to lose fat?
I upped the amount of protein I eat to about 45% and I am very careful about all the ingredients, never any processed food, I eat loads of vegetables and no starch, variety of colourful fruits, and I even write everything in fitday, I exercise 3 times a week, your workouts, I love them, I joined a group to help me keep on track, I wrote down my goals, I am more than focused on this losing fat. I also walk (fast walking) sometimes 2 hours a day I love being outside, in the spring, summer and fall it is biking for at least 1 hour a day.
I do do it on a challenging level also, no the strolling along kind of way, and using the intervals technique, so funny to see people reactions on the road, I pass them full blast, then they catch me, just to realize that I fire up and I am gone again, love that.
MY QUESTION:
I am not seeing any results, what is it that I am doing wrong, I seem to get tighter but when I measure my wait or any other places no change, my weight is almost always the same, 1/2 lbs to 1 lbs variation in the last 5 weeks!!!! very, very very angry with myself, all the other members of my group loses 3 – 5 lbs a week.
Help would be very appreciated.
As for the DVD’s I would love them, I finally found a fitness guru that motivates me to workout every week, love your help and I really appreciate it , even if for now I don’t seem to get the results, I guess I am building the foundations, wish the rest would get build up!!!
best regards. Alain

Dear Craig
At 48 years old the menopause is well and truly underway, and so is the build up of fat on my abs. I do interval training and swiss ball/weights etc but nothing seems to get rid of this unsightly fat which seems to be increasing no matter what I do despite having a very good diet too. How can I combat this? My hormones seem to be ruling the roost here and weight-gain in menopause is very common but it doesn’t have to be the norm. What’s your solution?
I would like the DVDs because although I enjoy working out at the gym, I also enjoy working out at home at my own convenience and the DVDs would help me achieve my goal of having a flat, reasonably fat-free stomach. Besides which I’ve never had ripped abs in my life (and I’ve tried hard). Not only is abdominal fat dangerous healthwise, it is also unsightly and I don’t want to enter my middle years with a rotund matronly figure especially as I’m quite petite anyway.

I am a 45 year old mother of four whose fitness light bulb went off about 18 months ago. I work out 4-5 days a week, and I watch what I eat for the most part. I have lost 15 pounds and for that I am most proud, Despite the weight loss and all the exercises that I do, I have not seen a six pack or any semblance of it. I am starting to convince myself that at my age with four pregnancies/births, it is just not possible to have a flat stomach again.
Everything I read from you tells me otherwise. Many “Hollywood” girls, even those who have had multiple babies like me, seem to spot flat abs. And so the rational part of me tells me that it is not impossible for ME to regain my flat Abs. I am interested in any DVD or program that you have that can help me. I would love to flatten my stomach and prove myself wrong. And perhaps, my daughters will learn that having babies is no excuse for not spotting a six pack.

Hi Craig!
My question is wich do you consider is what proportins excercise and diet goes in your weigth and shape? have haerd 70%diet and 30% exercise? I do have a clean diet and I dont want to loose weight but i do want to loose some bodyfat ans see my abs!!
I´m from Chile, and are a big fun of your workouts. I have a cuople o f your programs, but I train alone at home, so when you send some videos: I love them! Y always train harder “with you”, than with the workout print over my desk. Watching you doing them is much more inspiring. Have to say that handsome guys like you inspire me too!!

I’ve already lost 10 pounds over the past six weeks by cutting down sugar in my diet and doing mostly interval training with some of the resistance circuits in the TT program. My waist is down by 21/2 inches as well. So far, so good! However, my stomach still has an “overhang” to it. I really appreciated your caution that one should not expect dramatic changes during the second 4 week segment of the 12 week contest…is this all that’s happening or is there a way that I can “speed” up the weight loss and have the abs come out of hiding by modifying the intervals? (I’ve been following “A” & “B” religiously). What is more effective, adding more intervals to the workout, or doing the same # of intervals with increased intensity?
I need the DVD’s, not just for my sake, but for the sake of the rest of my family (wife, daughter and two teenage boys) who can see that what I’m doing is producing results but aren’t totally convinced about following your program, Craig, because they need something more challenging that I cannot model for them. I would dearly love for my children to get a better start in fitness than I did!

Hey Craig,
Could I be doing too much and therefore causing too much stress to my body which in turn does not help me lower my bodyfat percentage?
So here is the deal. I am a clean eater and am very careful with my portions. VEry often I adopt your breakfast suggestions and love the veggies and fruit.
To make a whole story short: I train with KBs 3 times a week (Chris Lopez’s workouts for about 30-40 minutes. the 2 other days I do 2 15 min high intensity bodyweight cardio workouts. I am also a part-time aerobics instructor and that entails giving 4 body pump classes per week and 3 body attack classes (high impact aerobics from LEs Mills).
For all my efforts, I seem unable to lower my body fat percentage. I am lean but seem to have stranded for a while now. Especially my triceps and my upper back tend to store more than required/desired.
So my question is, how do I lower my body fat? could it be that I am exercising too much and not giving my body the opportunity to recover?

I have received some remarkable results with TT and IT and following sound eating habits. I am 66 years old and have seen my abs this year for the first time in many years.
I recently injured my back, not due to exercise, and my doctor has told me that I should stop doing IT. The pounding on the treadmill has an adverse effect on the injured disk in my back.
Here is the question. What can I do to replace IT and keep the results that I have acquired using IT and even see more of my Abs.

1) having a belly makes it so hard to be mobile, why is it that tying your shoelaces becomes such a hassle?
2) aside from helping me tie my shoelaces without a struggle, the DVDs would help me get undressed for my girlfriend faster.

You have an amazing site and every morning before work I check for the next piece of gold from your blog, thank you. So I was wondering if you know of any connection between temperature and hunger levels. I was flying between Chicago and Miami during winer and didn’t feel hungry in Miami, but was famished in Chicago. This happened three times in about a month.
I would love to use your DVD to learn some new core workouts. I sail competitively (which is where the flying comes in) and my position on the boat requires a strong core more than anything else. I can already hold a plank for longer than most, but would love some new moves to kick my own butt with.
Thank you for the posts and please keep them coming!

I am 66 years old and I have been following your TT workouts for a number of years now.
In an attempt to lose belly fat I have recently started doing a weighted circuit in place of a regular weight routine. It is a very intense circuit and takes about 30 minutes to complete.
Although I feel every exercise of the circuit in my ABs I don’t seem to be able to lose the surplus belly fat. I am 5′ 9ins and weigh approximately 187lbs. My diet is reasonable but not extreme as I wish to have enough carbs to get through my daily routine.
Having your DVD’s would give me more scope and quality information tto assist in losing the last few pounds. It would also give me a better quality of life and fewer sizes of clothing in my wardrobe!

Hi Craig,
1) Are building abs the same as building arms where you hit them from different angles and with different methods to get thickness, shape and so on or is it another philosophy behind the 6-pack? Will a heavy load few rep training give another result than high rep no added weight to the abs?
2) I begin to train with weights when I was 16 and was in rather good shape when I was 20. Now I´m soon to be 49 and a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then. I have a severe talent for enjoing candy and other not so great nutrition. So with having a clue of how to train the rest of my body my fantasy is more or less limited to situps.
I also have a daredevil hunting me all the time. Its my soon to be 9 year old daughter who just finsished her 4th year in training Taekwondo. So being a out of shape dad is not an option. She knows, yeah I must have mentioned it hrmmm, that I used to do Karate and Ninjutsu when I was younger so now she always challenge me in free fighting, push-ups and other physical exercises. So, as its not good being a fat dad as a raw model and at the moment I could still win our competitions but she is getting to close and soon she will put me in a permanent looser position for every exercise event and thats not an option. Not in my book anyway so I walk back and forth to work now (1 hour per day) and I have started out to get back in shape again. I know that somewhere under this padding is not exactly the great body I remember but at least it could be fixed up in a good shape with the right cicero who will point out the way and hit me on the head with right exercises and also get on the right track with what to eat. I believe that you Craig, is the secret weapon that I´m missing out in my arsenal on my way back. I still have my broad shoulders that needs to be restored, with some training to blow away the dust from them so thats not my main worries. Its the abs area where my fat is collected and behind it are some slummering abs that needs to be woken up to life and out for a focused training combined with what to feed the body. I know its not Jelly beans that will do the good work for me but needs being pointed out in the right direction. I´m 100 % dedicated and really looking forward to get a great 6 pack to show my doughter that the old dad is not just a talker but can also walk the walk. I´m fully aware of that a DVD can point out the way but the work has to be done by myself. If you pick me I will drag those abs out of the fatty padding with your advices and exercises and carve them to a 6-pack and send you a pic if you need it for your marketing to prove that your workouts also works for older guys. Thats my promise to you.

I do exercise regularly and maintain the same weight for the last 20 years. But I do feel that I have more belly fat than before and I understand that that is the hardest or the last part to get rid of.
My question, what is the best way to loose belly fat ? I do interval, resistance training regularly, and do yoga, pilates occasionally and I consider my eating is healthy.
It will be great to have the DVD so I can follow the exercise step by step and hope to see results in the end.

1. I am losing weight but not from my belly. Appreciate more weight loss may eliminate some of the flabiness but overall it is like this rounded belly belongs to another body. Is this normal and can you do ab exercises every day?
2. Why I would love the DVD’s
We are so bombarded with exercise and diet info that it is hard to discern what it right/wrong/good/bad.
After 20 years of yo yo dieting and weight loss/gain I am finally in the head space to succeed at my weight goals – just need a few of the tools to help me get there.Being able to do my exercises at home confident that I have great tuition will make it easier for me to get on with it. As I have two gorgeous boys (15 & 17) who are interested in health and fitness with some lofty aims for themselves I need to be sure that what they are undertaking will not have any long term negative impact on thier bodies and that they are learning the “Right way”.
Having the DVD’s to use at home would tick all the boxes for my family.
Thank you for this opporutnity and you commitment to get the right messages out there.
Kind regards

Hi Craig. Thank you for all the blog posts, YouTube videos, and Facebook advice that you have provided me with.
My question for my abs and losing belly fat is, will I always have a flat stomach once I lose the belly fat and have eaten right consistently as a lifestyle, or will my stomach be a bit bulky when I’m in maintenance mode?
The reason that I request that you pick me for getting your DVD and nutrition sample is that I wanted to be your client this year but I can’t because you will not be available to do so. I feel that if I can follow along with your DVD at home it will be as close to the real sessions as possible. I’m taking swimming lessons (yes, it’s sad that I don’t know how to swim) this spring so that I have another reason to always stay in shape because I have to be shirtless atleast three times a week, and it will help me prepare for the summer. I go to Wasaga every year to visit my best friend and I would like to be more awesome than him while being shirtless for once.
Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to join this contest.
Take care,
Kirpal

Q: In order to lose those last pounds of fat, even if you think you have done almost everything, from eating to excercising, would you ever recomend alternative methods, such as linfatic drainage, mesotherapy or why not surgery ? Or do you think that with your method its not neccesary and anyone can achieve the “mythologycal 6 pack abs”( at least for me……)
I need the DVD because for the first time in many many years i again believe that the goal is accesible, i believe in your program, i am commited to achieve my goal, you have ignited a” belly fat burner” machine. Just give me the instructions (say dvd´S) to continue this journey to the final goal.
Thanks, best regards from Argentina to all readers

#1 question Is finding your abs more about exercise or nutrition?
As to why I would like the DVD’s is because , obviously, I cannot find my abs on my own. I will be 50 years old this summer and for the first time in my life, I would love, love, love to have a flat stomach and see my abs.
TT is great. Thanks Craig.

I noticed that abs seem to differ on people…….some even look misshappen. Is there any detemination as to the look of your abs/ and / or can the look of you abs be changed……….such as unsymmetrical look or just out of sync- looking abs?

1) What are the right exercises and right level of intensity for a beginer who is basically at zero with respect to abs exercises.
2) Most of my life I have been blessed with a skinny frame. I need this because suddenly – over the last 2 or 3 years – a gut has appeared. While I understand that diet is a hige part of this – I know that my complete lack of exercise (including abs exercises) is an important part as well.
[Reply to this]
Question – As a relatively lean person, can you lose the last 5 lbs of belly fat without also losing overall muscle?
Why I need TT for Abs – I asked on a prior post back in December when you interviewed Tony Horton, when you were coming out with follow-along programs. I have read your blog and agree with your philosopy, but I really like the idea of being able to follow a program with a leader – otherwise I find that my workout is not as intense and easily can have longer than optimal rests. Concepts are great, but having someone 9even through a dvd) motivate and instruct is even better!

1. My question is what is the most effective exercise to keep belly fat off?
I,d like to win so I can effectively lose stubborn belly fat!

Hi, I need to know the best way to train my abs, considering that I have 3 kids, and even dough I have 16% of body fat, I can´t finish to see my six pack abs.
I need to win the DVD´s because I want to be the exception of the rule, that says that you can´t look great at 43.
[Reply to this]
MY biggest question is on how to get rid of that last stubborn bit of belly fat that just seems to stay there… no mater what I do for weights, for intervals, for abs… the muscle is there…. it’s just not clearly visible. I’m 48, and in great shape thanks to your programs…. but I just don’t seem to lose that last 2 %.
Why I could use the free program. Well, in 1999 I had a heart valve replaced, and from that, while I was in real good shape going in… I learned that if I had been in better shape, the recovery would have been a LOT easier. The bovine valve I had put in has about a 8-10 year life span at best.
The last 10 years have been a big get in shape preparation for this upcoming surgery I am about to have to replace the valve and now also my aorta. And I tried a LOT of different programs to be ready for this. Since discovering this program, I have been working it quite religiously… well simply because having a body part that you know expires, is like having a expiration date on your birth certificate… it’s kind of motivating to live things to the fullest. Ditch that which does not work and embrace what does.
On the up side, your program propelled me to fitness levels I had never seen…so at 46 I started racing Outdoor Motocross, in addition to my already very fast street/sportbike riding, martial arts and fencing… because I was in that level of form and fitness from TT… I was able to be competitive and really excel at a very punishing sport where the guys at 25 are considered past their prime.
On March 10th, 2010 0500, I undergo open heart surgery again. To get back in shape to live the way I want to I will be starting all over on the TT program as the primary recovery vehicle for my body…. my hope is to be in shape to ride in the June 2010 Cannonball Bike Run in Morocco. It’s a speed crazy sport bike run that puts you on the bike at speeds up to 100mph or more for 500-700 miles a day over 5 days.
TT is already in my plan to accomplish this… winning a new program to follow would just be that much more fun.
Great job and a sincere thank you…. your program really made a difference in my confidence level going into this operation and in reducing the overall stress of mentally preparing for it. Over the last two months as the valve started failing, and I had to back off rigorous exercise, to keep from blowing anything out….an enlarged aorta can blow with out a lot of warning..the TT training let me tailor my training to stay in good shape, and challenge my muscles… and helped keep my nutrition on track and still prepare for some very invasive surgery.
Again… Thank you.

I have an odd body to start with: 5′7”, 250 lbs, waist 42, chest 52, inseam 28″ – The obvious is that my legs are a foot too short. I have pretty good muscle tone until I get to the bottom half of my abs and the love handles that go with them. What’s the trick? I don’t believe in spot reducing and would dearly love to lose 40 – 50 lbs.
The DVD would be a great help because I work out alone at home.
[Reply to this]
Hi Craig,
A watched kettle (belly) never boils (is reduced quickly enough for the owner/ observer).
So my abs question is ; can a person who works out regularly (changing it up etc.) , eats a reasonable diet (balanced, calories etc.) be guaranteed overtime to have great results as long as one has a healthy body to begin with and sticks to it at any age?( I suppose the older one is that stuff may take a little longer)
I like the idea of having DVD workouts of varying intensity and exercise to avoid body ac-customization. I used a Yoga DVD to gradually get into working out and it is now my post workout stretching routine. So I know that a DVD can be very helpful.
Bye the way the Olympics are still on,
GO!! CANADA!! GO!! : ^ )

1. How do you tone your abs after pregnancy, esp several in a row? They seem to be permanently stretched and weak. : (
2. I’m pg with #9 right now and I have done quite a bit of working out over the years in between babies. I just never seem to get anywhere with my abs. They are a mess, and I would like to have them back in working order again.

My question regarding finding my ab is:
I lowered my body fat to about 17.4 last year and I still couldn’t see my lower abs (I could see my top four abs), I’m a woman aged 39 and I felt that I was looking kinda scrawny, what are the recommended upper and lower limits for body fat for a woman of my age ? Maybe I just need to build my lower abs up ? What are the best exercises for that ?
As for why I need the DVD:
I love your way of training (supersets) I find it really effective but I would just love to get that level of tone on my ab area. I know that it is essential to have good form when exercising so I feel that your DVD would be invaluable.

I have done so many planks, I could build a house. I do wieghts, cardio, I have a personal trainer, and I go to the gym regularly. I have been working my butt off for more than a year, (the butt is still there). I can’t seem to get rid of the flab around the middle (my muffin top would make Timmie’s jealous) and then there is the lower belly (never went after the three kids). I have my trainer drove crazy, I have myself nuts. Why will it not go away?
At 50 years old, with 2 fake knees, I can’t do any kneeling exercises. I have changed my diet so many times, I just flip a coin now at mealtime. I refuse to try any of those fad diet things, I prefer good old fashioned common food in moderate portions.
I really enjoy your blogs, the information is great.
I will get this weight off, somehow. I am deterninded to see flatness by Christmas. I had thought that during my off days from the gym, your DVD’s would be the extra unusual that my body needs to get on the fat loss track. If none of the conventiional is working, it makes sense (to me) that maybe the unusual is what is needed.
I think it would be a hoot if a grandmother of 4 could have nice juicy abs at the next office party. It would make those 20 and 30 somethings sit up and take notice!
Good luck to everyone, because, even if I am not sucessfull in winning this, I fully intend to have those abs, or as close as humanly possible, in the next 10 months.

1. My question is…There are so many different ways to work your abs, that it is confusing.
Do I do bodyweight exercises or incorporate weights or cable machines for more resistence?? And, what would be good ab exercises if you have an issue with heartburn??
Something effective, but not lying down, or bending over. Thank you.. I have worked out for over 25 years…I LOVE WORKING OUT…however, 2 kids, menopause, fibromyalgia and fibromuscular dysplasia have taken their toll on my 52 year old body. However, I am not a quitter, so I try to work out at least 5x a week , do my workout according to how I feel. I have managed to get everything firmed up except my stomach looks like a bowl of jelly. I would LOVE to have your ab DVD to do at home everyday,I need help!!!!! I may not feel well most of the time, but working out helps to brighten my outlook on life.

Q: Women in my family all carry belly fat and it is the last fat to leave my body. My stomach has only approximated flat when my weight has been very low. Are there any exercises to help flatten that area, or am I doomed to be bone thin?

#1 question and why I could use the DVDs. I had spine surgery in November to repair a herniated disc between L5 and S1. The recovery has been going rather slow. All my rehab work is obviously core work, so Im not so worried about the flat stomach or six pack abs. Im concerned with building the core support structure to get me back in the gym and back on my motorcycle some time this year. My question would have to be what exercises could I do that wouldnt put that much stress on my back and help strengthen my core.

Craig,
Is there an interval training Program that you recommend which focuses on the abs. Is it beneficial to perform interval training every day. Currently I perform a turbulence training program 3 times per week, run 7kms 3 times per week and rest 1 day per week. I want to include interval training into my program to help with losing belly fat and ab development but since interval training is new to me I want to understand the best methods to burning the unwanted excess my Abs are hiding behind.
I would love a copy of your DVD’s as your blog and TT manuals have already given me amazing motivation to continue achieveing my goals. Your DVD’s would continue fuelling that motivation. However, just an answer to my questions would be more than sufficient.

To be honest, so far, I have been blessed with a pretty good metabolism. I work out and eat healthy, so staying in shape is fairly easy. I grew up in a really healthy eating/working out lifestyle and it has stuck. My “splurging” days are probably some peoples healthy days. However, that being said, I have the funniest abs! I try so hard to tone up in that area and it just does not work. I do not have a bulge nor do I need to loss weight, but to truly tone up I feel is impossible. What ab routines do you feel could do this for me? I have tried everything from light weights to 100’s of reps, and nothing shapes them. What ab routine would give me true definition without giving me bodybuilding abs that stick out 2 inches? Being female, I want tight firm abs that are you can see but nothing huge.
I think I would really benefit from the TT abs video. Maybe it will finally be the answer to my problems. A video that provides a good routine but also demonstrated how abs should be done!

I have had four children and all were born of pretty good size. However my last three pregnancies have resulted in c-sections. I have bought all the stomach toning dvd’s, paid the personal trainers, dieted and exercises but all to no avail. i have lost weight, and toned up but i still have that excess stomach flab that will not seem to go away! 1 – Most workout information say to allow 48 hours for muscles groups to recover before working them out again, yet many ab routines suggest daily exercises. Where does the truth lay in these apparent contradictions? Also, I’ve heard it said that ab exercises does not have a huge impact on ab “flab”. Is this true.
2 – At 6 ft 240 lbs and 56 years old, I’m working 12 hours days. I need a program that will help me reduce my midsection that doesn’t require time in the gym, notice I didn’t say time working out. I understand the my expansive midsection increases my chance of several health issues from the increased chance of heart attack, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes just to name a few. Also the extra pounds have great impact on how others view me, fit people command more respect and more pay than overweight people. Finally, I now have a granddaughter, born Christmas eve, I would like her to know a grandpa who enjoyed life with her and not one that was unable to “play” because they were out of shape. I would/could be a testimonial to your programs success.

Good day to you! I’ve read all the studies you refer to and I’ve been quite excited about them. I understand spot reduction does not work and that it takes whole body workouts to get the abs to show up. I’ve been training for months (OK, I cheated and took a break for 2 months but I’ve been constant at it for the last 2 months), alternating strenght programs (often programs you set up- and I change them every week) and combined aerobic and anaerobic interval training. I’ve even started using weights in my aerobic and anaerobic interval training sessions to make them more strenuous. I’ve cut for the last 2 months nearly all quick carbohydrates (I eat now a nearly perfect paleolithic diet, I haven’t had a glass of wine, beer or liquor in 2 months and have had only fruit for dessert. And though I am stronger and have lost some weight, I still have those stubborn #%&%$# few pounds of weight around my waist. What am I missing? I am ready to increase the intensity of my workouts, but I have already pretty strenuous workouts.
So why should I need your DVD sets? Well, to see if there is something I forgot or missed. And I really would love to get that answer!
Frank

1. What can I do to get rid of the “pouch” in my lower abs? I can see muscle in my upper abs, but then out pokes this “pouch” underneath! It drives me crazy!
2. I need the DVD’s because I do so much better “following along”. I have several e-books from TT and from Chris Lopez’s kettlebell workouts (I love my kettlebells!), but it’s alot harder when I have to keep stopping what I’m doing to look at the e-book to see what is next or how to do a particular exercise. I like to keep moving with no distractions or interruptions! I also cycle and eat healthy (well, most of the time) and my biggest problem area is my lower abs. I truly believe the key to my problem is in your DVD’s!

#1-How much of a caloric deficit should come from diet & how much should come from exercise? Should the majority come from exercise in order to facilitate fat loss yet minimize muscle loss in an effort to burn fat & expose the abs? It would seem that if calories are restricted in too great of an amount that it would be more likely that one would lose muscle.
#2-I have been “stuck” at 10-12% body fat the last few years despite trying many different training styles, etc. I believe that it isn’t due to lack of effort or sloppy diet. Rather, it has more to do with the workout routines I have followed. Many times, after a solid 6-12 week training block, I look nearly the same as when I started.
In most cases, when I have tried to “bulk” then “cut”, I end up losing a portion of the muscle I gained during my bulking phase. All the while, obtaining a cut midsection has eluded me. The 2 steps forward, 1 step back cycle over the last few years has lead me to search for a better way to get my abs to show yet not sacrifice the muscle I currently have.
At 35, I am ready to finally get back the 6-pack abs I had in my late teens/early 20’s. If I can get rid of 4-5% Body Fat, I can achieve my goal. Rather than continuing this bulking/cutting nonsense, it’s time to get ripped one & for all!
I believe that your DVD’s can help me achieve my goal. The times that I have had my most success has been when I have had a video to follow along with. I workout at home & have found videos to be like having a personal trainer instructing me on proper form, etc.
Having a 6 pack represents more than just a physical goal. While I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to look good with no shirt on, there is more to having a 6 pack than that. It represents discipline, consistent effort, a change in mindset and many other positive attributes.
The confidence I will gain from getting into top-notch shape will spill over into other areas of my life. By achieving this elusive goal, it will propel me to achieve bigger & better things. ( Not only for myself but for my wife & son.)
Thanks for taking the time to read my response & good luck to all who have entered!

1. My main question is how to work the lower abs and get rid of the fat on it. I need to lose more fat to show my abs, but I have problems with doing ab exercises that work the lower abs. I’ve lost 75 pounds in the last year, but I still have a lot of work to do.
2) I am very overweight and I need to do more ab work. I do cardio and weight lifting as well as Turbulence training. But I can’t get to a gym and I have some exercise dvds but not any that give me a complete workout. I really need the strong abs to help keep my back healthy. I really don’t care if I ever have a ’six-pack’ but I want to be able to walk strong and tall and with a core that can handle whatever I throw at it.
Thanks!

Wow. Great comments and questions. I’m in my early 40s and followed TT over the past 3 years. Over the past 2 months I’ve lost 20 pounds. My abs are only starting to show. Because of my height, I’m short, I’m not sure I can lose much more weight. My question relates to weight and height. Is there an ideal weight for your abs to show for your height?
As for why I need TT for Abs. I’ve worked out with weights and cardio off and on for 20 years. After using TT, this is the first time I feel great and beginning to look fit. My abs still need the work. I gave up breads, sweets, and sticking to fruits, veggies and proteins. I still feel that I have that last hurdle which are my abs. I would love nothing more than to take off my shirt this summer by our pool and turn some heads.
Best of luck everyone!
Rob

My main question is why is it so hard to work the lower abs. I have tried various things and even at my ideal weight I still had my lower abs to contend with.
Why do I need the DVD? I am a visual person and I think that seeing the exercises are such a great benefit. I also like to work at home and having this would certainly add to my in-home program. Thanks Craig..u rock!

My #1 question is all about burning belly fat, are you really working your abs to lose belly fat or do you need work on all areas to get rid of belly fat.
As far as why i would need those dvds , the truth is i don’t think that i need them more than anyone else I just need to get motivated to get back in shape. Over the last 10 years my life has changed a ton inc my weight. I used to be 6′5″ 235 and in pretty good shape . Since then I have gotten married and we have 3 children. Now im a 6′ 5 315 pound trying hard to get back on the right track. Any way your videos are a big help!

How do I stand alone among the meatheads I see at the gym and rise from the ashes of having a big muscular upperbody but have a beer belly which I see constantly at the gym? With the world throwing the temptations of Fast Food, Sendary jobs, Long hours watching TV at night, Day to Day Distractions, how does one stay focosd on the prize and stay motivated? How does a Turbulence Training live his life????
I need the Abs video so I can make a reply to the ones that are taughting me. To the ones that laugh and make fun of me. To prove that with hardwork, dedication, and the right formula anyone can transform themselves into agodlike man who represents strength, endurance, and greatness..

#1. I am 37 y.o. , fit, a mother of 2, and I can look 6 months pregnant by the end of the day b/c I believe I have diastasis recti (separation of the rectus abdominal muscle, due to my pregnancies). This is extremely frustrating for me. As a personal trainer, who has lost 5% body fat and 12 lbs following my last pregnancy, this last obstacle has been my worst nightmare. And I have no idea What to do about it! So the question, what does one do to repair/fix diastasis recti?
#2. I love your blog, and your videos on youtube, but I know that I could get so much more out of your dvd and expertise. I work with so many others, making great life changes and personal gains, and have such limited time to spend on myself. I am my own best (or worst) marketing, and I NEED TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT MY ABS! Your dvd would allow me to spend the time necessary ON MYSELF to (hopefully) repair this situation. Thanks for reading!

My question is… why is it so hard for 50ish women to lose the belly fat?
At the age of 52, I am a student of health and fitness. I will graduate as a personal trainer in April. I still cannot lose the middle age spread. I need your program to 1) lose my own belly fat and 2) and most importantly be able to help others that are in my shoes accomplish this very difficult tasks. We older women want to look good too!!

1. I am a mother of four, I don’t have abs, in fact I think I was born without them. I have a square shape since I was born, there is no waist to be seen…. I think I might be insulin resistant, I dont know… but I seem to keep my fat around my middle and not on my hips like most women do. What can I really do about that?
2. I like to have the DVD’s because its like having a really good looking trainer (you!!) in my apartment putting me through the paces! I see a lot of value in your instruction and in your short programs. It would be amazing to have the dvd’s and the simple nutrition book, wow! now that is a fantastic resource. For me…it would be sort of like winning the lottery!!! of course if I were to win the lottery I would hire you to show up at my place everyday and put me through the paces but for now I have to be happy with winning the dvd’s…keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!
keep up the good work!!!
chris

I really need to know if the secret of nice abs is the exercise or is it mostly diet. I have been following your bodyweight program for about a year (usually doing Bodyweight 500 or 1000 at least once a week) and still don’t have that hard 6 pack abs. Btw I’m 48

Hi I am Michelle from Malaysia.
1) My husband is desperate to get a 6 pack. However, no amount of crunches and trunk rotations seem to be able to get rid of the fat around his belly. What are the best exercises?
2) I want the TT DVD for my husband. To help him finally do it right and get the 6 pack he wants and get his self confidence back.
