To cut it short, it changed my life completely. I was an obese before. I weighted 100 kg, now after training hard but safe I dropped my weight to 70kg and maintaining it. Now i feel comfortable and confident about myself.

Of course with a change lifestyle and eating habits. Now i also recommend it to all my friends here and abroad. I also sharing some
important tips in my friends in Facebook. And many of my friends way back in high school, are very much surprise that i look younger my age ( im already 40) that i still managed to take care of myself and my body as well.

Thank you Craig and more power to you.

Regards
–
Audie Salvador
***************************

And Success Story #2:

Craig

Just wanted to say thanks for your life-changing TT program. I am 6 ft tall, almost 49 yes old and work in an office. I weighed 257lbs on Jan 1. I bought your program and managed to procrastinate doing anything until early Feb.

Started at the beginner level as you recommended. This week I began your original TT workout. I now weigh 205 and have gone from squeezing into a size 42 pants to comfortably wearing size 36. I have found that this is much more than just losing weight.

My marriage has been strengthened through a vastly improved love life, my self worth has significantly improved, and my overall mindset has changes to where I welcome any and all challenges.

Thanks for helping to change more than just my body. Know that you are positively affecting more lives than just your customers.

Matthew E.

***************************

Congratulations to our two winners.

Please send in your story, or if you are new, make sure you take before and after photos with your results. And think about joining the 12th TT Transformation Contest that will start in September.

To your success,

My name is Darragh Holland. I live in Clones Co Monaghan, Ireland. At junior school, I got the nickname ‘Dutchy’ which has stuck with me ever since. Having always played a lot of sport, with Gaelic Football being my main sport, I have also played some Soccer, American Football and Muay Thai.

I think I was about 14 when I told my mother, I want a six-pack. She thought I meant of beer, so she wasn’t to impress at all. In my teens, I would have been working out in my room, just doing the basics of push-ups, sit-ups, bicep curls, etc. This led to me doing a Sports & Exercise Degree at University, which really got me interested in the research aspect of fitness and health.

Apart from the partying, some of the topics learned at University were Nutrition, Sports Analysis, Biomechanics, Anatomy & Physiology. Like most people, after college I was unsure of what direction I was going. After realizing what certs were required to qualify as a Gym Instructor, I obtained the certs and got a job in the local gym.

CRAIG BALLANTYNE: That’s a great attitude. Tell us about one of your best success stories and 3 factors to their success.

DARRAGH HOLLAND: There have been a few but I am currently training a man, using Turbulence Training methods of course, who has lost 24 lbs in just 6 weeks. I hope to have before and after photos on my website by week 12.

I would put it down to these 3 factors:

1) Belief in me and the program: There is so much information out there and people are reading so much rubbish that they always want to jump on the next bandwagon. I find that the people who get the best results find a method that suits them and they stick with it.

2) Determination: The people with the attitude of “I have got to make this happen” will do better than the “I’ll give it a go” people. You must really go for it and push through the bad days. The reason most people fail is they give up far too easily. Try to figure out your why and it will be much easier

3) Goals: Your why should help you to set your goals. Do you have a target weight or a target fitness level. Have this as your ultimate goal with short term goals set to help get there. People who do this generally have more focus and accomplish more.

CRAIG BALLANTYNE: Awesome. Very proud of you and your client. What type of nutrition plan do you and your clients follow? And what’s your favorite nutrition tip?

DARRAGH HOLLAND: I like to keep the nutrition aspect simple. Eat 5/6 meals a day every 2/3 hours. Again people love to confuse nutrition and talk about counting calories and can I eat before bed etc.

The problem with 90% of people that have weight to lose is the processed rubbish they are eating. Fast food, bars, crisps, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, the list goes on and on. Avoid these foods and stick to clean, natural foods such as fruit, veg, eggs, beans, chicken, fish, nuts etc, while drinking plenty of water. So my simple tip would be to eat clean and be lean. Avoid the rubbish and eat small and often.

CRAIG BALLANTYNE: What are your favorite methods & exercises in Turbulence Training?

DARRAGH HOLLAND: The time efficiency of Turbulence Training has to be the biggest quality. The benefits of using multi-joint exercises gives the most bang for your buck while staying away from bodybuilding isolation exercises that are so common in many workouts.

CRAIG BALLANTYNE: What is your favorite workout from the TT members site?

DARRAGH HOLLAND: As a trainer I love the introductory and beginner workouts. When a person comes to you who hasn’t exercised in years it is vitally important to give them a good workout without making them not fit to walk for a week.

These 2 workouts are just nicely balanced to get them back to exercising so you can so you can really push them on at a later stage. This is a major factor that I think a lot of trainers miss.

CRAIG BALLANTYNE: Interesting. Wouldn’t have expected you to pick those, but it’s a really intelligent choice. Definitely shows the care and concern you have for your clients. So how can TT readers get hold of you?

DARRAGH HOLLAND: My website is www.dutchysfitness.com, while I also have some workouts on youtube at www.youtube.com/dutchysfitness and facebook at www.facebook.com/dutchysfitness.

CRAIG BALLANTYNE: Thanks Darragh. Any final words of wisdom?

DARRAGH HOLLAND: Pick a programme and believe in it but more importantly believe in yourself, believe it can be done if you commit to it.

Yesterday I interviewed John “Roman” Romaniello for our TT Certification Client Attraction newsletter, and we talked about how to become the most popular trainer in your gym as well as your city, plus how to get published in major magazines like Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, and Shape.

It was another excellent Client Attraction interview. Roman even gave me a copy of his “introduction” letter that he sends to all editors of new publications. This issue will be sent out to Certified TT Trainers next week.

But first, I want to share 7 powerful words of wisdom with you. And I got thinking about them on both Roman’s call yesterday, and after I read this success story email from TT Trainer, Mike Whitfield (Mike was the 4th trainer ever to be certified with TT.)

I’m as proud of Mike’s success as I have been with any TT Transformation from our contests.

Check this out…(and the 7 powerful words of wisdom below):

*****************************************************************************************

Hey Craig, I know you get alot of emails, so I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for all this information and encouragement through both InternetIndependence.com and the TT Certification. This is the most excited I have ever been about my life and vision.

My drive and passion ever since I’ve become TT certified have gotten me up as early as 4am on a regular basis to get things done and taking action. In just the last 2 weeks, I have put together a new website along with a web designer (he’s also a client…bartering rocks!), written a new opt-in report, relocated my boot camp from a small suite to a large high school gym, and finally submitted to become a LLC.

Here is why I’m telling you this:

I had to step out of my comfort zone and ask the high school athletic director who goes to my gym about using his school for my boot camps.

You talked about having to step out of your comfort zone to make progress…so I just did it! It was actually pretty easy. I just had to simply ask. You talked about how something doesn’t have to be perfect in order to share it. I started an E-book Fitness program almost a year and a half ago.

In April, I put in more work and effort in 2 weeks than I did for close to a year prior on it. It wasn’t perfect, but I knew it would help people anyway. So, to fix that, I offered a free lifetime upgrade to anyone who purchased it for when I release a new version (which will be even better). I launched it through Paypal.

I had 3 clients submit to the TT Transformation Contest and they are doing great. Whether they win or not, they are making transformations so they win either way in my book. I did this thanks to the TT Certification Hot Sheet. Gotta take action!

I kinda (slang word, I know) did my fitness career “backwards”, but in my eyes it’s forming the way I like it. I did a boatload of education before I did any real marketing. I read books and followed people like you and Alwyn Cosgrove (more fitness books/e-books than I can count on my hands).

I continue to educate myself because in this industry, it is a must.

My next goals are:

1) To release my first product through ClickBank.

It hit me just last night. As you know, my favorite part of writing programs and “tagging on” to TT programs are creative workout finishers. I’m applying your “Online Second Paycheck” System to make it happen. I got up at 4am this morning to put together the outline.

I’ll be honest – the exposure you gave me on your blog inspired me to do this! I’m ecstatic about reading your upcoming blogs about the finishers.

2) Continue to post at least 1 article per week – no matter what, no excuses

3) Continue to increase my Boot Campers… I went from about a 600 sq. ft suite to a huge basketball court/gym. More Boot Campers = More Transformations

Sorry for the long email… but I do appreciate everything you do, and I sincerely appreciate the exposure through Turbulence Training. I am very humbled by it. The TT certification is above and beyond my expectations and I’m thrilled to be a part of your team.

Have a great weekend,

Awesome. I’m proud of Mike and thankful for his help on the march to our mission of 1 Million Transformations. Every day we get closer – and thanks to you too. You can join the TT Certification and our 1 Million Mission here:

The powerful words we’ve learned from Mike’s story are:

Take Action. Just Ask. So simple. So powerful

Now about those remaining 3 words…they are: Never Give Up.

The most successful people I know do not take “no” for an answer. They find a way to get what they want. During our call yesterday, Roman explained his strategy for getting published in Men’s Health, and it relied heavily on simply never taking “No” for an answer.

It reminded me of when I first started coaching Isabel De Los Rios, the author of the best- selling “Diet Solution Program” (that often sells over 1,000 copies per day). When I had that first Mastermind coaching call with Isabel, I knew she was going to be a success because of her attitude.

There was nothing that was going to get in her way. Come he– or high water, she was going to succeed. I’ll never forget that call. So take these powerful words and incorporate them into your daily plan.

Take Action. Just Ask. Never Give Up.

To your success,

This month, we’re giving away two Platinum Memberships (worth $197) to Emily and Neil.

Here are their motivational and inspirational stories.

Emily’s Sister Lost 19 Pounds with Turbulence Training, and Now She’s Trying TT Too and Has Lost 16 Pounds in ONLY 5 Weeks

“When my sister first told me about the TT program, I was somewhat skeptical of the results she was claiming…UNTIL I SAW HER!

In six short weeks, my uncoordinated and out of shape (not anymore) sister had lost nearly 19 pounds! So, I decided to give it a try. I am excited to say that I have been using Turbulence Training for about 5 weeks now and I can already see a noticeable change in my body!

Several years ago I hit 190 lbs (I am a 5’1” female) and decided that it was time to get fit. I worked hard and eventually fell in love with long- distance running. I got down to around 140 lbs but gained some back after several years of marriage. Before I knew it, I was at 155 lbs again.

I am an ultra-marathon runner and have trained for and run several races exceeding 30 miles, yet I could not lose the extra fat.

So far, Turbulence Training has enabled me to lose 16 lbs. of fat in 5 weeks and I have lost 6 inches off my waist!

Now I am kicking myself for not taking “before” photos. I still have about 14 lbs to go before I reach my goal weight of 125, but I am never bored with the workouts and it has propelled my long-distance running to a new level as my speed is increasing.

If you think the Beginner and Intermediate workouts look to easy, think again. Even after just completing a full marathon in under 4 hours last fall, the beginner workout gave me a run for my money!

I am looking forward to reaching my goal weight and continuing to set strength and fitness goals. Thank you TT!!!”

Emily Knowles

****************

And Neil is

“I wanted to take an extra minute to say thanks for everything you do to help all of us out here trying to get in shape. The help and motivation I’ve gotten from you in so many aspects is immeasurable.

I even found your hotel room bodyweight workouts, that are a big help for when I’m traveling (usually up to your town of Toronto).

Here’s my quick, unsolicited story: I am 40 years old, 6′ 3″ tall, and have been sitting at around 230 pounds for the past 10 years.

It’s the classic story, prior to turning 30, I had always had “high metabolism” so I could eat whatever I wanted, and didn’t go to the gym on a regular basis, but still maintained a healthy weight.

However, at some point, after graduating college and getting a 9 to 5 office job, a switch was thrown somewhere, and now, here I sit.

There are a multitude of reasons why I have finally decided to lose my extra “baggage,” but the proverbial straw was when I was recently traveling, and my cell phone kept popping off my belt clip.

I quickly realized that it was every time I bent down for whatever reason, my gut was knocking it off.

To add to that, my father just had to have another angioplasty in January, due to some heart issues. He has always been a legendary eater. When he was younger, his nickname was “Grocery Store,” because that’s where all the food would go.

When he turned 50, he was diagnosed with diabetes. This, combined with his eating habits, put him in the hospital when he was about 57. He had to have a 7-bypass heart surgery, because of the terrible condition of his arteries. Unfortunately, that didn’t stop his eating habits, and I didn’t change mine at the time either.

But after his hospital visit early this year, all of that changed for me. I looked into the faces of my two young children, and realized that I didn’t want them to see me lying in the hospital anytime soon. So here I am.

Since getting started 5 weeks ago on Isabel’s Diet Solution, along with doing the TT workouts, I’ve lost 11 of the 35 pounds I’m trying to lose.

I’m looking forward to getting down to my ideal weight again, and am excited everyday to do every little thing I can to make that happen.

Thank you again for all you do,

Neil Sutton
******************

Congrats to Emily and Neil.

If you have a Turbulence Training Success Story, please post it in the comments section or email it to

Looking forward to hearing from you,

The key to your fat loss success is in the exercise.

Over the past few weeks, Catherine touched on the five pillars to her success. As we come to the end of our series, Catherine infectious attitude continues to inspire us which accounts for so many things.

So let’s read on.

*************************

Craig: I don’t have any scientific data, but I really believe that people will get more results if they love the activity they are doing and that’s why people sometimes don’t get the results with cardiovascular exercise even though they burn a lot of calories, they despise it and the body just hangs onto the fat.

Catherine: Yes, I think you are absolutely right. There’s some quantum thing going on there. It’s that “calories in calories out” sort of mystery.
However, ultimately as we wind down and wrap up the eating is so important, so you do have to find the ways. Look at the things you really have to have in your life and things that you need to do in order to stay with your nutrition.
So much of this is dealing with things like “cravings” and “plateaus.” I have to say that I use to do the Eat- Stop – Eat method, but not that much. In the last year, I’ve maybe fasted about 10 times.

Craig: Did it help with your cravings? You did that on regular days, right?

Catherine: Yes, that’s what it did. I’ve only done it on 10 different occasions; it does seem to shut the cravings off. It’s weird; it seems to shut them down allowing you to get back in control.

I have to say that some fasts were easier than others. Some days were like, “This isn’t so hard.” And some days were more difficult. Some people take to it like a fish to water. I think I’m kind of in the middle. I like it and it works, but I don’t fast every week out of the year.

So, in order to succeed you have to figure out how you can get to a place where you’re eating well. That’s ultimately is going to be an individual decision; you’ve got to find your way. Don’t quit, just stick with it and keep doing the workouts.

Craig: Absolutely. The last question I have for you. Your photos are pretty much famous, because they’re just such great photos. What are some practical tips that you can give here to help people maximize their efforts?

Catherine: I am so glad you asked me that. If I could have help to pose Carla she would have won the contest. Bless her heart if she is reading this. I love you, Carla.

One things that I’m seeing a lot is the a bodybuilding pose where you stand straight on, and you throw your arms way back, and you suck in your gut. I don’t think it’s that pretty.

Liz talked about a way you can stand where you have one foot back and one foot forward, just the way I always stand, and that there’s a certain relaxation. You’ve got your shoulders back, and your stomach in, but you’re not in that bodybuilders pose. You have to ALLOW A CERTAIN GRACEFULNESS to remain in the picture. The other thing is your smile is so important.

Craig: That’s what I was going to ask you about.

Catherine: Your attitude in the picture.

Craig: Your enthusiasm shines through so much in those photos. Maybe it’s because you’ve done a little more singing and dancing than some of the other people who are a little more camera shy, but the smile really does make the photos and brings it to life.

Catherine: It’s the happiness in it, yes. Also, let me give some practical tips. You’ve got to light that picture. If that means that you’ve got to bring lamps in and take the shades off or something. One of the big things that I see is that there isn’t enough light. You’ve got to get some light in there, not so much to have it so harsh that you’re throwing shadows.

Actually, one of my winning pictures was done outdoors. The key to that is you’ve got all that wonderful AMBIENT LIGHT, but I was under an overhang so there are no harsh shadows. You can’t have a good photograph without light, so you’ve got to make sure that it gets lit.

The other thing is that if you’re doing the photograph indoors take the stuff off the wall behind you. What we did is we put up a big piece of, silk we tacked that up behind me and I stood on it.

I suppose you could use a big piece of fabric or a big sheet. I don’t know if I would go with white, like stark white might not be a good idea. Go ahead, pin something up behind you and stand on it so that YOUR’RE THE FOCAL POINT, making sure there isn’t something behind your head. I think that’s really important.

If your transformation is fantastic you’re going to win no matter how you stand. If your transformation really isn’t that impressive you could stand on your head because it isn’t going to make a difference. Oh, I can ask you a question!

Craig: Sure.

Catherine: How do you pick the finalists? Does it just jump out at you, is it obvious? Is it really easy or is it hard?

Craig: No. It literally tears me up inside. It’s one of the hardest things. It’s certainly a great problem to have. When I did the first one I didn’t know if I was going to get one person even doing this, but it’s exceeded my expectations more than anything else in the world.

It is really tough, because I know personally how much work has gone into each one of these transformations. Fortunately, I’m assured by everyone when I speak with them after that just the journey itself is winning enough for most people.

Catherine: Yes.

Craig: That always makes me feel a little less guilty, but it’s really hard. I would say that there are always at least twice as many people that I’d like to pick than I do pick. I’ve just found that in order to be fair to the final contestants it’s really important to have as few people as possible in that final voting, because if you spread it out too much then it doesn’t become a real good selection process.

So, it’s hard, but we cut down to as few people as possible and then allow for that voting to be very significant. But, I guess it’s not any mathematical equation for picking, we take a look at all aspects of it. The essay certainly is an important part to me as well. I’m not going to say it’s an important part in the final voting, I think people really are voting on the pictures, but when I’m picking the finalists the essay certainly does play a major role.

Catherine: I’m glad I asked you that question, because I think there are a lot of people who want to know. I’m really glad to hear that the essay is important and that the journey is important.

Just one more question on that. It isn’t just you picking them, you’ve got colleagues that you respect, I know that I’ve read that in the rules, they’re helping you out as well?

Craig: Yes. It’s the majority me, but I certainly run it by Brad Pilon and Holly Rigsby. I say, “Hey, can you take a look at all these ones?” Or, “Can you help me decide between these last couple?”

Catherine: It’s nice that you have a gal in there too.

Craig: I use them to take some of the pressure off me, because like I said, it’s just such a difficult task because everyone does such a great job. I just want to say thank you to everybody for doing such a great job and I want to say thank you to you for sharing these tips.

Most importantly we want to do this call for people that are trying it out for the first time and to show them what is possible and to show them what to expect and to show them some of the secrets of a champion. So, thank you so much, Catherine.

Catherine: It’s been a great pleasure.

Craig: This is Craig Ballantyne from TurbulenceTraining.com and TransformationContest.com with Catherine Gordon, the winner of our second contest. Hopefully that has really opened up your eyes to the potential that you have.

If you get those five pillars that Catherine talked about, the nutrition, the exercise, the goal setting, don’t skip over that, the mindset, and the social support and you really will succeed and truly change your body and change your life.

I look forward to hearing about your results at TransformationContest.com.
So if you missed it, then head back to read up on How to Avoid Sabotaging Your Transformation.

Today, Catherine continues to share with us the keys to her success. As the winner of the 2nd TT Transformation Contest, Catherine knows it isn’t about short-term changes. As you read on you’ll see that your continued long term success is about committing to a lifestyle that focuses on both healthy eating and training.

*******************

Craig: When you switched over to Turbulence Training it was also I guess you would say a 180 from the way you were exercising before?

Catherine: Yes, it was. I remember being annoyed with you at the elliptical machine. I was literally annoyed at the idea that I was going to have to get on a treadmill or run up a hill. I’m not kidding.

Then I finally got over my stubbornness, and I said, “All right, I’ll get back on the treadmill.” What I realized is that if you’re not constantly in this low level of discomfort for an hour on the treadmill, if you’re doing intervals the treadmill is fun, it’s not horrible. If you’re doing intervals hills can be fun.

However, I really loved that elliptical machine, and that is why I was annoyed with you. I was reading posts from you saying, “This really isn’t the most effective.” I’m like, “Oh, stop it.” So, I think sometimes there are areas where you have to GIVE UP your stubbornness and that’s one thing that I would love to say to the beginners.

If you want to find the key to your success maybe look at your faults. There could be a success in the things you are resisting. This might be a pretty good thing to leave people with.

Craig: Absolutely.

Catherine: Look into the stuff that you don’t want to do and try it.

Craig: Yes, the mindset stuff is so important. Is there anything that we haven’t covered? We covered the visualization, the goal setting, how important that stuff is, how important it is to do some self-reflection, how to prepare yourself for your success and not let sabotage come in.

Wow, you’ve done a really good job. You’ve got a different way of looking at the mindset stuff than even I have, I hadn’t even thought of a couple of those things. Is there anything we’re missing out here?

The program can be written as good as can be and the diet can be, you can even prepare all the food and do all the shopping, but if you don’t have the mindset things aren’t going to be as great as they have been for some of our winners. So, anything else you want to add there?

Catherine: You’ve done those funny videos where you can’t out train your bad diet, but I think that the key is in the exercise. I know a lot of people would argue with me about this let me tell you why it’s in the workouts.

The workouts, that you’re doing in the workout spills over into your life. Exercise cuts depression, we know that. There’s a study that came out that said exercise is as good as the drugs, maybe even better. So, what’s happening is if you do the workouts it will spill over into the rest of your life.

In other words, by doing the workouts you’re going to be able to stick to your nutrition better, because you’re going to pump up your endorphins, your hormonal balance is going to be better, so even though you can’t out train a bad diet, you’re training allows you to STICK to a good diet.

Why is it that the people who don’t regain the weight are usually the people who keep exercising?

This is why. So, although I think it’s wonderful of you and very humble of you to say, “It’s really 80 % nutrition.” Certainly there are many programs that succeed that are based on nutrition, I’m thinking of the ones that celebrities are doing, those are nutrition based programs.

If you look at who is succeeding five and ten years down the road it’s the exercises. I don’t know if that’s the only thing we haven’t covered, but ultimately you find a diet that works, but it’s got to satisfy you and you’ve got to be able to stick to it. I believe with the right kind of workouts, like interval training, really getting the body going. This helps you stick to the nutrition.

Craig: Yes. Like you said, it’s a domino effect of the benefits and everything from that and also what we talked about earlier before, having some of that playful activity come back into your lifestyle. So, those are some of the most important things to help.

One of my last questions was going to be how do people make these changes stick in their life beyond a 12 week transformation program, and being consistent with the exercises is obviously one of the big ones then.

Catherine: You’ve got to find a way to MAKE IT FUN; you’ve got to FIND A WAY TO LOVE IT

You really do. I practically love doing these workouts.

The other thing is I love the “in between activities.” I’m doing yoga three times a week, whenever I can, and I love doing that. That’s the thing; you’ve got to find the love. It’s that, what is it, Nike? Do you have the love? That’s it.

If you can find a way to love it, start out with finding a way to like it, then it’s yours and you’ll own it and you’ll keep doing it. But, I do think that is the key to keeping it in your life and keeping fitness in your life.

Then the other thing that you’ve got to connect it to, I think I wrote this to Robin when she won, I think I wrote to her, “That is a fabulous body. Now, what are you going to do with it?” I think she went out and she bought a belly dancing costume.

It’s funny, but the thing is if you can find a way to CONNECT fitness to the purpose of your life somehow then that’s when you’re really going to own it and that’s when it’s going to be yours for the rest of your life. So, once again, it’s connecting what you’re doing here in the contest to the way you want to live the rest of your life.

It’s wonderful. It’s wonderful what it does for your relationships, it’s wonderful what it does for your relationship with yourself, and it’s changed my life. I’m doing so many things this year I’m like, “Oh my goodness, is that me? Am I really going to do that?” Its like, “Yes, I am.” It’s being willing to let it change your life.

Craig: Yes. You’re such a great representation of everything that you mentioned there and everything that we’ve been trying to help people achieve. Going back to what I said before about I love seeing people doing things that they may have given up for 10 years, because they thought they were too busy, too tired, too whatever to do them. I really like that.
