Fitness predictions are always fun to do, and CB loves to look into his CB. That is to say, lil’ ol me loves to look into my crystal ball and try to predict the future.
I’ve actually been right about some big trends in the past and so today we’re going to focus on the hottest fitness trends for 2012. You’ll want to know the truth about these – in advance – so you know how to incorporate them into your workouts.
1) Metabolic Resistance Training will be the training term of the year
Weight training circuits, Turbulence Training, Afterburn Training – all of these have been known for years, but more and more we’ll see the phrase, Metabolic Resistance Training (MRT) used to describe this broad field of training.
Of course, that also means that MRT will be defined differently by almost every trainer…leading to some confusion among fitness readers (almost as much as the term, ‘clean eating’).
As the originator of the MRT programs however, you’ll get the most accurate MRT programs here through Turbulence Training – and therefore, the very best results.
2) The M-MRT Explosion will be the next level in MRT

At the TT Summit I shared my Kekich Credo notes with all TT Trainers. It was a document I have been building up for over 4 years, with each credo being followed by my personal thoughts on how it relates to fat loss and business.
The first credo may be the most important. It starts, “People will do almost anything to stay in their comfort zones. If you want to accomplish anything, get out of your comfort zone.”
Unless we get out of our comfort zone, the reality is that we won’t make breakthroughs in our lives, our businesses, or our health.
You simply can’t coast through life if you want to get better.
However, getting out of the old comfort zone is something everyone deals with and struggles to overcome.
When you have bad days, you’ll be tempted to return to your comfort zone habits, but it’s also the time when you need to fight against that the most.
But we have to fight it. Every day we MUST fight it. You’re fighting the good fight. And you’re going to win. We won’t quit. We never will.
Because the day we quit is the day we start living a life of regret.
That regret will be far more painful than any daily struggle we face while we work towards a better life. Whatever your goal, you must continue to learn and grow and have the discipline to do the things you don’t always necessarily want to do.
For my goal of helping one million men and women transform their lives, I need to build a team – including Certified TT Trainers and that can’t happen if I’m not willing to change & get out of my comfort zone. You can do it. You can break free from your comfort zone.

Question: “You have Cable Chops and Cable Face Pulls in the new TT for Buff Guys and Hot Gals. I need a substitute for those cable exercises and for V-Grip pullups? Can I also replace all barbell exercises with dumbbells as well (being that I don’t have a barbell)?” – Kbar12
Answer:
1) Cable chops replacement: Cross-body mountain climbers
2) Face Pull replacement: DB rear delt raise
3) V-Grip Pullups: DB row or DB Pullover
And yes, it’s not a problem to replace barbell exercises with dumbbell exercises, or vice-versa.
Question: “On your blog, you listed a “big shoulder warm-up” that you do before bench pressing. What does that include?” – Teddy
Answer: Great question.
Here’s how it goes:
1) Foam Rolling – 15 rolls for upper back, and then for the back of each shoulder
2) Arm Crosses – 20 reps per side
3) Band Pulls – 25 reps
4) Stick-ups – 20 reps
5) Stretching

It’s an extremely thorough video, and I really enjoyed filming it for you.
As Certified TT Trainer Daniel Woodrum said, “I’ve been implementing these shoulder warm-up exercises on a daily basis for the past several months after they were presented in the TT trainer newsletter. There’s been a noticeable difference in my shoulder mobility and upper body lifts.
They are well worth the extra few minutes before a workout or even on off days at home. Great stuff Craig!”

All number’s are “as many reps as possible in 3 minutes” EXCEPT for the squats which were 5 minutes.
As instructed, there are 2 minutes of rest between exercises.
1 Chinups – 35 reps
2 Close stance squats – 163 reps
3 Close grip pushups – 69 reps
4 Burpee/Pullup combo – 17 reps
5 Reverse lunges – 92 reps
6 Stability ball jackknives – 46 reps
7 Stability ball leg curls – 70 reps
8 Inverted row on rings – 53 reps
9 Pushups – 80 reps
Total Score: 625 reps

Each afternoon at around 4:30pm, as my workday winds down, I do three things.
First, I make the next day’s “to do” list, starting with the most important priorities at the top, and I script out the next workday, including 60 minutes of writing done first thing in the morning when I’m at my best. I highly recommend taking this approach in your business so that you are prepared to get more done each day.
Second, I review my contact list, one that I’ve built up since 1998 when I attended my first training seminar in Nashville as a college student, and one that has grown to the most influential trainers and business builders in the fitness world and beyond. I make sure I don’t let 3 weeks go by without following up with these incredible people.
But third, and perhaps of even more interest to you, I review over a dozen of my “daily secret documents”. These are words of inspiration and business advice from some of the world’s greatest thinkers and business-building minds.
I start with my Gratitude Journal and a little exercise called “The 5 Achievements”. There are 5 steps to the gratitude journal, and 3 key steps to the achievement section.
After that I move to reflection on a Kekich Credo, then I study and apply a single
business building tip from 6 of my biggest mentors.
Next, there are 2 sets of writing rules that I go through, and I apply them to my work, seeing if I can use them in what I plan to write the next day.
It’s funny, each one of these tips and insights that I study appears to me as a horoscope reading appears someone who believes in astrology.
It always feels like I read the right tip at the right time when I review my daily documents.
For example, if I’m struggling with a business decision, it always seems like that day’s Kekich Credo or one of the tips from my mentors gives me an “A-ha” moment and helps me make my decision on the spot.
These insights always seem to speak directly to me, as though there was some cosmic intervention, rewarding me for my habit.
And so i continue on, reading one of the “7-Figure Habits” I collected at a seminar back in 2009, then one of my personal goals, then one of the items on my long-term vision for Turbulence Training (our goals through 2015).
Next up, an item from the Rockefeller Habits, and a reminder to apply the system
described in that book to increase the productivity of my team.
This is followed by a review of one of Warren Buffet’s investment principles, to guide me on making the right decisions as I invest time and effort into Turbulence Training opportunities. With so many joint ventures and deals proposed each day, I use Buffet’s system to help me decide on the right course of action.
And finally, into the home stretch. Just three more items. The first is a review of my 12 Personal Philosophies that guide my life and remove stress from the decision making process. Just as my Macbook has an operating system, I believe we should too. This helps my brain run at optimal speed because I don’t have to sweat the small stuff.
Next, a list of Opportunity Concepts. These are from one of my mentors, and are items that I need to consider when sharing the possibilities of the Turbulence Training Certification with other trainers. It reminds me of the obstacles that I must overcome, and would be perfect for helping trainers see the obstacles their clients must deal with before fully and completely trusting in your system.
And last but not least, I review one of the 127 TT workouts I’ve designed and one of the 217 exercises that have been included in TT programs over the years, just as a reminder of what has worked in the past. This is particularly pivotal if I’m in the process of designing a new program and need inspiration. Often I forget about a great exercise that worked 2 years ago, and it becomes the perfect fit in a new program.
So that’s what I do, all in about 15 minutes, at the end of each workday.
And we’ll go over these in much greater detail at the TT Summit – this is the FIRST time ever that I will reveal my Daily Secret Documents in full.
