If you are a beginner, you’ll start with the Beginner Program in the main Turbulence Training manual.
If you are not a beginner, then you will start with the Intermediate program in the main Turbulence Training Manual.
To lose 20 pounds will take 12-20 weeks.
You can use my Bodyweight Cardio programs or kettlebell exercises in place of traditional interval training. You get the Bodyweight Cardio workouts as a bonus when you get started with Turbulence Training here:
I’m 4′10 weigh 180. Lot of weight to lose. and to top this off hashimoto’s thyroiditis. under-active thyroid with auto-immune problems. Had this since i was 11. on meds for this.
Before I put on the weight, which was about 2 years ago i weighed 100 and had or have big calves and overdeveloped quads from dancing and biking since i was 10. I’m 41.
I need your advice for interval training. My knees start to ache, due to being so overweight, when i’m on the treadmill and afraid of going on the bike. What should I do? I know i need to be active.
My quads have a tendency to build up very easily. I know I have a lot of weight to lose but at the same time trying to keep them down in size. It’s hard to shop for shorts and pants. have to go up in size or 2 and the waist is then HUGE ! I don’t know if there is anything i can do about that. Any advice? or is it just genetic : ( should I be doing squats?
any advice you can give me I would be eternally grateful.
Any advice for diet? Not sure of calorie restriction.
thanks for your help : )
caryn
P.S. want to do the transformation contest and anything u can help me w/ to help me lose would be so helpful, I want to be so successful with this program I’m so ready for change
1) I suggest trying the bike. It should take stress off your knees.
2) Your thighs won’t get bigger if your nutrition is good. So let’s focus on nutrition first, that will help you reduce the fat. Please use Dr. Mohr’s nutrition guidelines or Isabel’s meal plans here: http://www.TurbulenceTraining.com/freemealplans
3) Please start with the beginner Turbulence Training program…it will show you beginner exercises that will strengthen your muscles without hurting your knees.
4) Looking forward to seeing you in the transformation contest!
thanks so much for the quick reply. Good advice thanks . Have another question for u : )
If I purchase the tt for abs dvd that u just put out will that also help with the weight that I carry in my legs? thats where I carry most of my weight. Granted my waistline got bigger but alot is in my legs. I know nutrition is key and the intervals will help but felt i had to ask.
last question: I know u have the kettlebell wkouts too. I was thinking about pursuing that s well. Love to see that on dvd.
Not thrilled with what i see on the web , and dragondoor’s site felt was not my …style so to say. Trust me when i get started with something I push myself. so do think that would work well for me re: leg work?
If u think the tt for abs is the wrong way to go, u have any suggestions?
Right now i workout at home ( currently unemployed and have some time on my hands. Boo ) and have a treadmill ( old. like 15 years, still ok) and a dvd player. My boyfriend said he would get me kettlebells if i wanted to go that route. no plans to join a gym. for what i pay in dues i don’t go enough and don’t enjoy the “commercial gyms” . Spring is here so… ready for something better than just a treadmill that I can do at home.
Let me know what I should get for at home . Have some bands, a ball to do abs , etc and a stepper and 3, 5, 10, 15 lbs. dumb bells that i just took from my parents house today ( they were not using them)
So…that’s my scenario. Gonna start with the beginner’s program like u said but do I have everything to do it @ home?
Like the idea of the dvd because it’s easier than follow and less breaks than using the manuals for me.
Hi Caryn! Yes, the TT for Abs DVD contains total body workouts that you can do with that equipment at home. Unfortunately we don’t have kettlebell DVDs yet…but like you said, the DVD’s will be great for you to follow along.
Craig
I am 165lbs and 5′10″ 25 year old male. Chest 37 inches, biceps 14 inches and waist 30 inches. I have a slight 2 pack with some stubborn lower bellow fat that pi*ses me off! Which training do you recommend from your products that will further develop my chest, arms, triceps and stomach (these being my main body parts that I aim to enhance). I have recently got fed up of doing Chest one day, arms/triceps another, and shoulders and back another day. Want something challenging, new and exciting – hope you can help?
Look forward to hearing from you and trying out your products.
I understand you’re very busy so thank you for replying so fast. I have heard good things particularly regarding the TT2K3 workout on the web and through your site. Thanks for the advice, I will purchase the manual and let you know how my progress goes. Looking forward to something new and I’ve got a feeling this is going to give me that new challenging workout I’ve been looking for.
I’ve been following the Turbulence Training podcast on iTunes for a few months now and am a huge fan. Straight to the point, i’m 17, 5 foot 10 and 165 pounds and have a bet with my dad that I can lose the last of my belly fat and get a 6 pack by August 1st. I only have 2-3 pounds left to go, but it’s that last push that i’ve been struggling with. Any advice you have would be very helpful. Thanks a lot.
I have a question. I want to gain muscle, be ripped, and have the best body I can possibly get, as well as being in the best shape of my life. Is your program able to get me the results I want? I have been weight lifting for awhile and am a former collegiate athlete. Also, is does your program come with what-to-do day-to-day kind of routine? Something like P90X (liked the program, but seemed to taxing on the body, too long). Please let me know. Thanks.
I’ve been doing your TT bodyweight exercises and I must say they are really good. However I was wondering…right now I have bulky thighs but I really want to change that so they’re slimmer. But I keep getting mix information as to whether or not this is achieveable. What do you think? Is it possible to change my bulky legs? If it is possible what exercises should I do & which should I avoid? How long will it approximately take before I see the results? Thank you for your advice.

Hello
I want to start your Turbulence Training program, but first, I have a few questions:
1. I am 5′5” and 16, I weigh 140 pounds, which program would be the best for me, if I want to be around 120 – 125?
2. How long would it take me to lose around 20 pounds with TT?
3. I don’t have any equipment at home, so how do I do to do the Interval training?
Sincerely,
Beatrice

If you were a personal client I would not let you try and lose fat. You should gain muscle and get stronger to look better.

Hi Fab! If your diet is correct you will get thinner thighs with bodyweight training and interval training.
